  1. Since when does one person's opinion speak for 200? I understand the once you lose fans..................I'm not exactly new around here.
  2. By another fan's opinion, not from an actual corps, staff member or representative speaking on behalf of an actual competing corps.
  3. Just to clarify something, some of the readership of DCP has been shaken up. DCA and the corps within are still going about their business as they always have.
  4. However they are not really in their back yard. People are forgetting that now members of DCI corps are populated with membership from all over the country. No longer a neighborhood activity. Logistically its not going to be nearly as easy as it was a few decades ago.
  5. Come on Frank - be scared be very scared, there's a new corps coming out and they may actually be very good. You know after all these years of doing DC, this the FIRST TIME EVER a new corps has come out but this is the time you have to curl up and cry. I mean, another competitor how can you not be SCARED booo boooo Yeah - this isn't you're first rodeo...........come on.......... Good Luck to all!
  6. Just my .50 Some corps may have every drill set learned, but there is never a show complete for the first show. There are always changes, enhancements, that go on all season long etc..... I get, and respect, that shows should be at least close, from a fan's perspective but keep in mind, so much has changed in the activity, which perpetuates the life of the activity. Now you have members of some/many corps traveling many hours, states etc. to march with their respective corps, which puts some limitations on any extra work etc..... Face it, the shows are far more difficult and intricate then they were BIID. That too, is part of keeping this activity alive and strong. So, it's just not that simple as "When I marched we were done.........." LETS GO HAWTHORNE
  7. Member/staff are whining about C2? I don't know about private conversations you may have had with people, but I don't ever remember reading where any member/staff said a word about C2 publicly.
  8. When have I ever been serious?
  9. Smoking his own opinion I suppose, knowing that on May 21, 2012 no matter what some think they know, the fact is NO one will know how a show in September will play out....................... Imagine that..............
  10. I am not affiliated with Sun, so I can't speak to them, but they do practice about 2 miles from my house, I stopped by last weekend and that's my understanding. They definitely seemed larger than last year, although I didn't have enough fingers and toes to count
  11. You forgot Sunrisers - S comes before T tee hee, but maybe we went to different schools together, walking in the snow five miles, up hill both ways, with one shoe.
  12. It's not about how many in the horn line, but how many horn players in the line ($1 - Fossil50)
  13. When were predictions for drum corps in February actually ever realistic?
  14. Oh my heart is broken..........God Bless you Dick Pronti, you were always so good to my Caballero Family, the entire Drum Corps family............that Drum Corps in heaven sure is the best one ever! God Bless you and your family, my prayers to Peggy and your whole family.........
  15. It would most likely only apply to those that get cut that live in the general area. Cadets have people try out from all over the country, I doubt someone that tried out for Cadets that lives in Omaha is going to consider C2, logistically speaking. So, while it is a benefit, it's not a slam dunk either.
  16. Then of course you have the Guard, aren't the horns and drums just the sound system for the guard anyhow
  17. Well that certainly doesn't sound like the same ol.........................contrary to some assumptions.............. LETS GO HAWTHORNE
  18. Too much Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue
  19. Who are the posters that are making these threads 10+ pages long? Certainly, not the other DCA corps or it's members, that's for sure. You have corps with 50+ and 60+ years of experience, this is not something new, the only thing new about it is we can Thank Al Gore and his internet to provide armchair directors with a keyboard to provide their opinions that don't know the difference between opinion and fact. I am NOT dismissing Cadets2 and their potential, but I highly doubt the corps proper are "scared". This isn't my first rodeo either.......................
  20. Who's doing the freaking though, not the actual corps, mainly those that think they are speaking for some corps.
  21. Really? I don't buy that at all. Where do you get this information from?
