  1. I'm pretty sure the casino that you guys and gals are talkin about is actually going to be located in Bethlehem on the site of the old Bethlehem steel corp. The Sands casino is working with the city to ensure that the casino doesn't adversely effect the city, which already has a few rough spots.
  2. Bones' true identity is...HA! no way would i tell u guys!
  3. hate to say it...but without amplification, you wouldn't be able to hear the pit at all while the rest of the corps were playing...
  4. the "when to clap" shirts came onto the market at the Bensalem show....so that leaves Giants stadium, DCI East, and...DCI Worlds where they were on sale during tour
  5. park & bark....the only corps that i really got that WOW feeling from this year with shere volume was The Scouts....
  6. o man...souvies! Working @ the YEA! office has taught me one thing...there are NEVER enough souvies! It was pretty crazy going to the YEA! sponsored shows in a van stuffed w/ souvies that needed to make it to the souvie trailer. As for "Best" souvies... im gonna go with Regiment...even though at DCI east they were out of alot of stuff(staurday).
  7. emmm...State College, PA Beaver Stadium 108,000 seats(i know we only use 1 side) Scores of acres to be used as practice fields Approx. 5 corps could be housed ON CAMPUS and then others in neighboring schools. VERY easy to get to: Right off of Route 80 which runs across then enitre US

  9. ZOMG PWNT! (lol we're using 1337 5p34k on 7h3 dcp f0rum5!
  10. I would definitely say that The Cadets have the LONGEST drum feature this year, by far.
  11. ^^^WOW! they need to update google earth! that was 3 entire years ago that that photo was taken!
  12. Hello all, I have been a huge drumcorps fan since i was a little kid, but never had the fortitude to actually try out for one. Well, here I sit, a soon to be sophmore at Penn State and I have finally decided to try out for a corps in the fall. I did the whole marching band thing(all 7 years of it) while in high school and I also marched indoor percussion for 6 years. I was just wondering how much of a difference there is between a div 1 and 2 corps(travel wise) and how "good" of a player do i need to be in order to get into each. I am anticipating to try out on mello and I just wanted to get a sense of how intense the competition is out there. I was looking at either trying out for the Crossmen, or Jersey Surf. Thanks in advance! ~Torey
  13. well, apparently dcp forums do not support .gif images, i just had to change it to a jpeg
  14. emmm....if they're looking for a place with plenty of warmup areas...STATE COLLEGE, PENNSYLVANIA!!!! Beaver stadium holds approx 30k on one side of the field:
  15. Why doesn't mine work? it just has the [/img] tags on it.
  16. Im going to go with the new Field turf, ive marched at Giants Stadium and at J. Birney Crumb(Allentown) both are fantastic!
  17. I don't know what the judges are seeing...but the BD show is BORING AS ALL ####! I actually yawned during it! It's really sad to see them only .025 behind the Cavies who are definitely better. Another scoring mishap from tonight in allentown would be the Crossmen dropping their score...that's defintely not right either. I saw them at Bensalem, Giants Stadium, and tonight. Tonight was their best performance BY FAR!(besides the soprano player pulling an '89 BD). The crowd responses definitely told a different story than what the scores do as well. The fans went Crazy for Vanguard, and they really liked the Bluecoats. The BD pretty much got your regular applause after a lackluster performance.
  18. Absolutely LOVE it...J Birney Crumb has it...which ive marched on countless times, and its phenominal!
  19. lol...i love how a topic about the Cadets Vocals turned into an argument about opinions...pathetic. As for my .02 ... as an employee of YEA! I've gotten to hear and see the Cadets entire show 6 times this year....I must admit that at first, I really didn't like the vocals in it, but after the first two shows...they grew on me and now I REALLY like the entire show! Apparently this week Hopkins is adding more guard/corps movement during the drumbreak, and changing the last 30 seconds of the show. So the show at indy will be new for all!
  20. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Bones ^0^ .
