  1. Yes, Sully is still writing and they have a fantastic visual crew as well! My heart goes out to the Cavies...get well guys!
  2. Personally, I enjoy seeing the corps congratulate each other and feel the love after putting in a summer of blood, sweat and tears. Let the corps have their time to enjoy every second on that field because when they walk off it's all over.
  3. Seems like someone wanted their 15 minutes of fame, I mean flame!
  4. I started posting and following in the 90's on RAMD (horrible place), then went to Sound Machine and now DCP for the past 12 years. I have followed many of the posters on here about 10 plus years. I never marched but have followed both my kids through the years. I like to read everyone's opinions of shows and always try to make it to one towards the end of the season (my yearly vacation). Reading DCP is like watching a movie trailer, in a way, I know what to look for and have an understanding of what each corps is putting on the field. Fan Network is a dream come true. I rate performances on tears and goose bumps, not very sophisticated, just a love of the art. Another plus of belonging to the DCP community is when I do go to a show I get to meet up with some great people! I don't ever see myself walking away from Drum Corps, I hope to be around to watch my grand kids on the field, I don't think it could get any better than that.
  5. My son is on staff and he said the speaker for the vocalist was not working so it couldn't be heard.
  6. MY son is on the staff with The Colts, I'm excited to see the show
  7. I agree, I was blessed my son was in both shows and I went to both finals. Good times!
  8. Let me get this straight, you marched in 2000 when the Blue Knights placed 6th and you don't remember? Sixth place and the highest score they've ever received; 2000 was a great year.
  9. Noblegaijin, My son, Craig Sellers marched with the Blue Knights '98 - '01, lead sop. He's with Rance who played euph and with J. Buck, the caption head in 2000. They're teaching 'The Colts' this summer. I was wondering if you remember them? Craig went back and taught at the Blue Knights for years, they are competitive and I think it's a great organization. Sorry this didn't attach to Noblegaijin's as a quote, learning curve this year I guess.
  10. This makes me smile! My son preformed in 2000 with the Blue Knights and he was on staff for the three shows mentioned. My daughter performed guard and my son was the visual caption head for "Folk Song" so, of course, that was the best season for me.
  11. Why was this not brought up sooner? Did they just start using dust? If this was just added I wouldn't want to be the one who added dust to the show. Boston will come back...They're BAC!
  12. I should be able to see The Colts on Fan Network, right? I have been trying and can't get anything.
  13. Thank you for starting the thread. I would have something sarcastic to say as to why there is no thread from this show but I'll just keep quiet. Go COLTS giddy-up onto "The Field of Dreams" I'm beginning to think the name of your show fits perfectly, you may be out on the field but as of late no one sees you! Good job "Red Team"!
  14. I love their guard. I'm going to just put this out there, if young girl's watched this show you'd have them lining up to join color guard in high school.
  15. Has anyone else lost their feed to Fan Network, mine is down.
