  1. Have to agree with the last poster...I also don't believe in letting everyone win at teeball....
  2. This has taken an interesting turn to say the least. There are folks that make bad posts. I saw the post being referenced on a different thread and agree that it was silly to call out all others as carbon copies. the Corps can't help what a few fans may choose to post. That is the case for ALL Corps. I love the endings and I know from having a son that is marching the show that it has been reinforced to them that it is a respect of the heritage that they are performing. Of course my thoughts and a quarter only get you 10 minutes at the parking meter!
  3. it's not surprising at all that some are here. It's not like they are all full time judges for DCI. Many are high school band directors, etc... so they are fans just like us
  4. Wow....talked to my son, they are pretty happy but are keeping it in check and looking to continue the improvement
  5. Crown has one for the section leader....and she is great
  6. Agreed! I still love "Machine" even though my Son marches in a different Corps
  7. does that mean you owe me a dollar or just can't put together a cohesive thought?
  8. wow...you really worked hard on that one huh?
  9. I heard that Chris Rock marched in the 80s...can anyone confirm this? :troll food:
  10. I GOT IT! A show based loosely on the terminator but instead of saving the kid, they have to save the guy that invented PONG. That starts the whole machine war Mike, you ARE a genious! btw...another poster said this person must be a highly educated (meaning: out of touch) academia type of person. He started out with "Dude" thats something I would say and i'm NOT highly educated so i'm voting NO on that This is quite possibly the best thread EVER on DCP. If this were a pay site I would be looking for the checkbook right now
  11. Your best friend needs a kick in the a__.....that isn't typical of all parents, that I can assure you. My daughter could write a new series about Narnia (which I happen to love btw) and I still wouldn't buy her a friggin $250 purse! But thats why i'm a guy I guess
  12. And of course Crown is at Irmo, also staying the day after to prepare for Valdosta
  13. I was worried about that with my son and it worked out for us that we moved during the summer while he was gone from a small town 100 member band to big area with a 275 member BOA band. But, even so, his caption head specifically forbid him to wear his Corps jacket at school that whole year and had a talk with him to make sure that he understood how to keep band and DC separate. (He was going into 9th grade so there was considerable growing up to do) All in all it has been a good transition
  14. On show days as the earlier poster said they are usually done by 4:30 or so. They will most likely have visual in the AM, then sectionals, then ensemble enjoy, wish I could be there
  15. I have a clock thats probably circa 1980 if you want it! I really hope Spirit makes it into the top 12 this year. We have friends there. Nor sure what I think about the Unis and drums but I haven't gotten to see the show yet
  16. Wow....don't know where you were but I have been watching my Son's rehearsals for three years and NEVER seen anything close to that. Even his high school band is much more serious than that
  17. WHAT? PUI is dangerous (posting under the influence) :)
  18. No problem, glad I could send it. Thanks for the update
  19. Tried to txt my son, no response so I assume they are getting ready for the show, was it raining there?
  20. Because everyone on DCP lives for making a point no matter how useless and silly it is... (I may be a hypocrite too BTW)
  21. I hope they will take this into consideration and change the program to appeal to everyone that ever listened to Drum Corps plus those unborn children in the womb that may be able to hear or feel the vibrations.
