  1. I was thinking the same thing. They're going to be very hard to beat.
  2. It's kinda of difficult this year, because this is a very good year for drum corps. There are so many good shows. Here are my picks: 1. Carolina Crown 2. Holy Name Cadets 3. Santa Clara Vanguard 4. Blue Stars 5. Blue Devils 6. Boston Crusaders 7. Troopers 8. The Academy 9. Crossmen 10. Colts
  3. I think all three of them are in the hunt. Besides, I like what I see!! Good job Crown, Cavies, and Cadets!
  4. That's a big drop. What could be the reason?
  5. I agree! I can't wait to see these two corps perform tonight.
  6. I was at last night's show and thought everyone performed well. I saw most these corps back in June and they performed better this time around. At first, I wasn't into Cavies and Spirit, but after last night their performances impressed me. The Cavies looked and sounded very good! I was really impressed with SCV and enjoyed their program; their colorguard was really good, especially with the dance. Crown is still my favorite this season and hopefully they get those changes under their belt. Other performances I enjoyed were the Blue Knights and the Troopers.
  7. Good choice. I absolutely love that opener!! I would also have to agree on '92 Cavaliers (Gavorkna Fanfare), '96 Phantom Regiment (intro and closer), '00 Cadets (last 1 1/2 minutes), and '90/'91 Star closers (with '90 being a tear jerker). I also liked '94 Blue Devils closer. I know the feeling. I use some of these clips as email notifications and as sounds when my computer starts and shuts down.

  9. Percussion is hurting Blue Stars, and it looked like the same thing (and visual performance) kept Holy Name Cadets from 2nd;
  10. I never knew what a tear was either. Thanks for the explanations.
  11. I would also like to see them in the 'Boro next week; I'm thinking about going down there.
  12. They still have those clothes lines? I don't think those are necessary. But still, I think it's a very good show and Blue Stars are a very good drum corps.
  13. I saw them this year in Normal and was impressed. They're getting better and better.
  14. If PR wants to catch BAC and Blue Stars, they have they're work cut out for them. BAC has a lot of momentum right now and are peaking.
  15. Isn't that a lot of drill to be re-written during this point in the season? And the show is not complete?
  16. For me, 2000: HMs were '02, '03, and '08 1992: HMs were '96 and '99 1989: HM was '88
  17. Good job Crown!!! Keep up the good work. Was anyone at the show tonight?? How did the corps look?
  18. My votes were for Carolina Crown and Blue Stars. I haven't seen Cadets or Santa Clara Vanguard yet, but it sounds like they're doing really good at this point.
  19. Wow! Everyone's score went up. Good job Crown and keep it up! I also see Glassmen closing that gap.
