Based on the recap, it seems like the effect judges were at 2 different shows. Cabs...and the rest of the circuit, have got to be encouraged that we may finally have a legitimate competition for the top spot. And one has to feel good for the Cabs, who had the guts and determination to hang tough and compete against what sometimes must have seemed like an insurmountable obstacle. Even though they did not win this time, their efforts deserve respect.

I would tend to disagree. It is not in any circuits best interest to have one corps dominate the way Reading has since 2005. And now DCA has their top draw only competing six times in an already short season! And no matter what anyone's definition of dominance is, Reading has absolutely dominated this circuit like no other corps has EVER dominated ANY circuit. I have witnessed many shows where the only reason anyone got within 3 points was just a matter of the judging slate being nice. And BTW...predicting a 4 point spread over the Cabs? This has got to #### some folks off...LOL!

One thing is for sure...the first corps to beat Reading in a regular season show since 2005 is going to have one helluva party!

From what I can see, Bucs only compete 6 times this season, not including prelims/championships. Perhaps DCA applied some sort of mercy rule!

Beyond Wildwood, I predict the Bucs to once again dominate the season as they are still to far ahead of the curve, and until they lose, have got to be considered the odds on favorite. After that, it's anyone's guess!

And actually, your not really predicting anything now...LOL!

The bar is definitely being set higher each year, and we are seeing a lot of fine quality corps lower in the placements. Hopefully this trend will continue into the new season!

Cabs drill over the past several years has always seemed to overstretch a bit. But now, with Reading throwing down last year....AND pulling it off...a corps has no choice but to put out some demand if they hope to compete for championships.

So Reading has won EVERY show they have entered, with the exception of 2, since 2005! Every time I have seen them in competition, the show was basically over as soon as they finished their opener. So saying that Reading is "overrated" would seem a bit of an understatement. A silly one at that....

I would tend to agree with you in terms of possible rankings. Reading is just to far ahead of the curve and as much as you have to admire the Cabs, C2 would seem better positioned to put out the type of demand necessary to make a run. An interesting pick with Bush in the top five! I've always thought if Bush could come out with a full, or close to full line with a consistent membership, that they could make things competitive.

So who won?

So Tampa Bay scored a 77 in DCA Class A and NOW their moving up to DCI? Am i missing something here?

Also to be considered is that this year's MBI program is going to be a bit more difficult to clean than in years past, and they may be sacrificing some horn line endurance and ensemble sound with the more active drill. However, I still think that they are a lock for second.
