The Belleville Black Knights always had great uniforms. Here's one from 1961. Note the correct position of the shako. Not over the ears like many of today's corps.

Sash is only on the front of the jacket. Chin strap goes under the jaw for brass players and as shown on the guy on the left for the battery. (Been that way for years)

I checked with John Zimny and he confirmed that Fanfare for the New was going to be the opener in '86 had the Freelancers made it out that season.No known camp recordings.

I suspect the American Symphonic Overture is an arrangement by Robert W. Smith of Civil War melodies that includes Shenandoah.

Correct city, but wrong all-girl corps. It was the Gabrielettes All-Girl Corps from Belleville, IL that performed on roller skates.
