  1. Might be the wrong place to post this - if so, please move/delete. Thanks. Pretty much what the post title says. I figure it's about time that the database on themoviedb.org gets updated and corrected for all of the Championship Blu-Rays/DVDs (for those of us who are nerds about our metadata and Plex libraries) and I'm coming to y'all first to see if anyone has pictures/scans already OR wouldn't mind taking one or two. If not, I'll knock it out myself, I just figured asking the community would be a good place to start. Many hands make light work and all of that. I should mention, I already have everything I could lift from DCI's website, which is: 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1993, 1995, 1997 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 So, mostly looking for the old Legacy Collection covers. Needed: 1979 1980, 1981, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999 2000, 2003, 2008 Feel free to message me or link to an Imgur upload or something if you can contribute. Thanks.
  2. Any chance you could make better use of screen real estate? I have a Sony Xperia Z3 (1920 x 1080), and it just seems like the fonts could be smaller to allow more information to be seen. Also, is landscape mode a possibility? The recaps page could definitely use it. Thanks!
  3. Sorry, I should have been more clear. When you upload the files into Plex, does it correctly associate title/artist/year/etc., or are they largely blank files that you have to create that information for?
  4. Just wondering if anyone uses Plex (plex.tv) to manage their digital media and has any of their DCI videos on it. It's something I'm considering doing, but I'm guessing Plex doesn't handle the metadata very well (probably not in the TVDB or anything like that), and I'd love to hear from anyone with prior experience before I take the plunge. Thanks!
  5. Drewboo, I do want to say, you just made my night. I've been trying to court Android developers I know for the cause (Chris Lacy is an acquaintance who I thought would be good for it, too), but since none of those guys really did the drum corps thing, they just didn't get it... Few questions: Material design? Is it going to have one of those awful hamburger sidebar things? (I've read some compelling articles that show those actually cup app use and time spent in app, so I have NO idea why Google made it part of the official design guidelines...) At the very least, swiping left/right to move through diff parts of the app? (Like this?) At any rate, I'm really excited for this. There's no DCI scores app on Android, as far as I know, so you're going to be the sole provider, and based off of what you did with the WP version, I'm sure this'll be great. WOOT.
  6. I think that was 2007 (Centerville, OH) , and we ended up 7th. Womp womp.
  7. Man, this is awesome. Now if only someone would make a beautiful app for Android! iOS has their own app, now Windows, but Android still has nothing. I don't supposed you're versed in more than one operating system, are you? :)
  8. I guess from my perspective, I'm left wondering what obligation they owe anyone to do this? Would it quiet the complaining five or six people? Sure, but maybe they'd prefer to handle all their business in-house, and because it technically isn't anyone else's business, they released what they could. Y'all realize they didn't have to release anything, right? So instead of complaining about what they didn't do, why not try and be happy for what they did do?
  9. Those're a good three to have. All smart, great teachers, and Emery will make a fine caption head.
  10. ANS: Yup! (Although I almost didn't.) WHY NOT: Was butting heads with some members and staff. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and I was allowed to come back in January (sans audition). REGRET: The 2010 season? Yeah, you can bet I would have regretted not marching that season.
  11. I know Texas State University's Bobcat Marching Band had quite a few corps people, both before I got there and while I was in it.
  12. Visual staff? Drill writer, I thought, not vis staff.
  13. Exactly. Let's hope for the latter and not the former.
  14. Possibly, but unlikely. That's not to say I'm not impressed with Boston this year. I just don't think they're going to overcome the Bluecoats (or Vanguard).
  15. I love Creep as much as the next guy, but I think you put too much emphasis on this one portion to magically infuse their show with Top 3 potential. Does the show need a bit more redesign? Yes, but if it were that simple, I think they would have done it already.
  16. I don't know. Their talent is supposed to be a lot higher. It's just dirty right now. SO SO SO dirty. People are bagging out, getting exhausted, endurance issues, etc. I think their brass sound was great. I'm not a drum guy, so I can't speak to the unprecedented drop in perc. placement. Guard not tossing makes that a hard read, too. I think most of the show is pretty cool. Might have to re-write a little part in the middle, but I trust the guys at Bloo to know how to clean. I definitely think it'll take the Coats a little while to finally get comfortable enough with this show to really start showing off with it. But hey, everyone came to play this year, so they could still not get as high as people were anticipating earlier in the preseason. I, for one, think it's still too early for me to try and guess where they'll wind up.
  17. Can't say I'm not surprised seeing the results, if those are accurate. I would have put Cadets over Crown, but Bluecoats starting below 70 is a bit worrisome. They are a dirty mess right now, though.
