one of my favorite ones that happened to us in 06 had to do with the drum major announcemen "Ben Weed, Grason Lawrence, and Brian Kinnet....who are the...um...drum majors for spirit from jsu...umm...is your corps ready"

dang it Will i was hoping no one had mentioned the cruisers yet there is also a video on google labled as spirt i know it is a simple typo but it still made me laugh

i am pretty sure that most corps sing a song after a show i dont know about before i think everyone does rookie talents too

we had an awesome one this past year we were really loud at the end of our third song the announcer thought that was the end of our show and started to announce us off the field kids were on there feet when we started New Century Dawn it was pretty funny:)

i think that our 06 show was harder than this year even though this years had a whole lot more visual effects

he was friggen amazing in 06 i cant wait untill the dec camp

willyc it isnt hard to beat the amount of time Gaines was out with us due to the fact that (at least in 06) im not sure he ever even saw the show live. we never got direct help from him because he was busy with the cavies but Chad was able to be with us at least every couple of weeks.

now that one is funny he found a way to make a completly awesome solo funny

this comment has just been made twice as funny due to the fact that i just failed a paper because of spelling she said the rest of it was fine but that she knew at least three people who could write better and that i need to shut up

you all need to shut up i have marched 96 phantom 03 bd 89 vanguard and 2005 cadets and have won all the caption awards single handedly because the other was cut off by a guard member that dropped a toss i then played a double c, snare and tenor solo, all while showing the stupid sabre how its done

i am not too worried its just that i know that my freinds and i love to find cool videos that fans take and it sucks when people crap all over it

i am not normally a serious poster. i am pretty sure that at least 90% of what i post is meant to be funny(even though you may not laugh at it, at least i do) but i came across something that truly hurt and disturbed me. i was doing a search for drum corps videos on youtube and found a video of myself and the rest of the 2007 spirit hornline playing Georgia in the lot at finals. i saw some positive comments and wanted to see what other people thought. i found a lot of great comments but also found a few that were degrading to the corps and to the other posters. and when i say this, i dont mean in the dcp "you suck", "no you suck" kind of thing. people were outright trying to destroy each others charicter. i didnt know if it was just that video or even just us. so i checked some other videos and found that many drum corps videos have someone who thinks that they know it all, making horrible comments. i was just wondering if anyone on there truly realizes that these kids find these videos and read the comments that are left. just a concern

because they both suck in new mexico :P

unfortunatly i would think that it does. you are supposed to not change the way you perform based on the crowd but if you were being heckled during your show it doesnt exactly hype you. as for the hash marks i am actually really happy that george hopkins did something i know it caused a big stink with the fans but we were in 12 and on quarters i could not mark off my dot on the field i had to do it from the side line especialy with some of the cadets insane drill someone coiuld have been seriosly hurt

oh yeah and hearing your brothers and sisters screaming in the middle of the night because crikets were jumping on their face wasn't exactly fun either

Divine high school i dont even know why they let us stay there again the janitors kept complaining that there were kids sleeping in the gym last year but yeah we also got the crickets as well as frogs feeding on the crickets freezing showers and the possibility of poisenous snakes for the two hours that it wasn't a monsoon outside (wich we had to rehears in on the day of the San Antonio regional) although we did find some random christmas lights in the bathroom and made a delta out of them

Is no one else as excitded about Yacco's as I am. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
