I remember when my band directors took me to my first show at Lake Highlands HS in Texas. He took us all aside before going in and said: "Now this isn't a concert, but it isn't a social club either. Cheer, clap, ooh, and ahh...but don't just sit there and chat, that tends to tick people off. Also, some of these fans are pretty hard, so don't bash any particular corps too much. You never know who's mom, dad, or worse, alumni, is sitting near by. Some may not care that you're in high school. Say the wrong thing and I wouldn't be surprised if you got popped in the mouth, or at least you would've in my day. We all clear? Good."

Have to totally agree with you there. I love the PR black unis. The PHANTOM Regiment.....Black uniforms.....just makes sense to me.

I do have to give that to 'em. Marching kids that young and that well is amazing.

It's completely relevant. Cadet's comment was the lame one, not Hrothgar's. ANYONE can judge a show. Hrothgar just made the excellent observation that of all the people who haven't marched, even directors and staff of corps are among those ranks.

Honestly, I feel it depends which corps you marched.

Actually a FMM and I were talking about it the other day. He said the chords are in for now, but it's in the air if they'll stay in or not. Depends on if they can work them into the concept the way they have imagined.

The argument it well written, but I think your stretching a little too far out there to make it work. Drum corps is a celebration of individuals coming together to perform as one. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

I'm digging how they put the "space chords" exercise into the show. Just a lil something especially BD.

I'm sorry, but if you think that rivals div I DCI then you must be blind. Sure it's neat for what it is, but "superior" it is not. Looks about on par with some BOA finals bands. Some, not all. Would anyone here honestly compare a BOA finalist to a DCI finalist? I think not.

Sorry if I didn't know that that particular jacket was not a members jacket. It sure looked like one to me. And while I don't know how personal members jackets are to The Cadets, I do know what they stand for to some other corps. My thought was, that if it was a members only jacket, that maybe a alumni could get it and know what to do with it from there. Carry on...........
