when did you give it a chance? ive read posts all season saying "i hate the cadets narration" when most had not even seen the show! same with crowns narration. not many gave these two corps chances to proove narration can work. get the dvd, watch the shows from finals, then say if you like or dislike narration. dont be a hypocrite, its not cool.

so basically you arent going to give any narration a chance? so in other words you dont want DCI to progress? crown and bluecoats narration worked, they went with the show, and didnt over power the playing on the field. the cadets narration was too much in my oppinion. EDIT: cant spell!

it just makes sence for them to finish 3rd with their show entitled "3hree"...

And i am not in any way saying SCV didnt deserve the spot, i just think there was a little bias in there. And im not crying, so dont act all big and bad please, its not cool.

overrated: blue devils, cavies, SCV underated: crown I think the blue devils were way overrated, their opening segment was really cool, but then they lost me. Cavies were ok i guess, their show just didnt seem like a cavies show to me. And although SCV was really good, I think if finals werent in california, Crown would have taken 5th.

sorry for the double post. but the drumline was a 4th place drumline. they sounded horrible early on in the season, and greatly improved but were not anywhere near where they have been the past few years.

i said leave it as is, but would like to see some kind of rule that regulates how much you can use amplified voice in a show. i like how crown and the bluecoats used amplified voice, but the cadets went overboard. dunno if it would work, but if there is some way to keep it from covering the whole show.

They would probably keep it closed so they can judge everyone on the same level.

Amen to the prop part! But HS bands march and play well, but we also arent as dedicated to it like a drum corps is because we have 3 other classes going on at the same time.

i dont think that the cadets would be using the extra member space on a cymbal line... i think they would if expand on their horn line and possibly battery...

although i am an avid crown fan and hate to say this... i believe SCV has an amazing show and a great bounce back from last year! congrats to them!

Heres my prediction: 1. Blue Devils 2. Bluecoats 3. Cadets 4. Carolina Crown 5. Cavaliers (that would be awesome!) 6. Phantom Regiment 7. SCV 8th Down is the same as yours Although my mind says the Bluecoats will finish 3rd and Crown will finish 5th, i went with my heart on those :P

I love the people who are like "Crown is using narration? They are finishing in last with the cadets!" Dont judge a book by its cover...

I still have yet to hear the narration at a show (and wont till semis when i watch at the theater) but i think it will really add to the moment. And it doesnt matter, narration or not, Crown still is having their best season ever! And they have my favorite show of the season!

They have been doing the narration since may camps.... They were saving it as a "surprise" for finals to help boost their GE twoards (sp?) the end of the season. And yes i know this because one of my friends was supposed to do the narrations but they wouldnt let him due to his important part at that point of the show.

Wow i didnt notice that! I talked to some crown members i know last night and they said they think they are finally getting judged like they should! Im ready for a surprise on finals night!!!

i agree with the drawing your place in the performance order. they could use the average scores, or just pick randomly, who picks first and so on.

Altough i would LOVE to see that... My mind says Cadets will take Bluecoats by a small margin.
