  1. After Orlando, I personally thought the spread between BAC and BC should have been closer...I believe Boston has more then a glimmer of hope in beating the Bluecoats. The most important thing, is that Boston doesnt peak too early. Boston has almost consistently peaked a bit shy of finals these past seasons. I personally am pulling for Boston, but we'll see.
  2. This was a real possibility a year ago, but this year, Crown is on a whole different level this year. Crown is approaching top 3 status quickly, while, imho, the Bluecoats have taken a small step backwards.
  3. I believe the Cavaliers will peak jussssssst shy of finals week.
  4. heh, We'll see, Cadets made some very big changes to the show and havent had as much time to clean. I wouldnt count Cadets out yet.
  5. You can bet Cadets will come out tonight and rock the house...unfortunately, the Cadets probably wont be ahead of Crown for a few more days. After talking to a few Cadets after Orlando, they said they're making HUGE changes to Vesuvius and the Epilogue...dont expect them to have a near complete show until San Antonio or a bit after. Once they get the new ending on the field and get a chance to clean clean clean, Cadets will be back in the hunt. Get 'em Cadets!
  6. NO IDEA! That is what I was wondering for the longest time...Im pretty sure he tripped over himself, and Im guessing he wasnt holding that horn too tight either...whoops! epic fail.
  7. This isnt really a collision, but reading this made me think of it...a couple days ago at the Orlando regional, a Crossmen baritone DROPPED his instrument....I couldnt believe it.
  8. These are my predictions : Colorguard - The Cadets or BD Brass - Crown or Phantom Percussion - Cavaliers cant wait to see who takes em this year....this finals week should be VERY interesting!
  9. I am very excited for the show tonight...and wow what a line up! Look for a tight race between Spirit and Colts; Boston, Blue Knights, Bluecoats; and Carolina and Cadets. I cant wait to see how this plays out! Also, Im making it out to see the Cadets ensemble rehearsal at their housing site...should be fun!
  10. So I'll be driving my friend and I down to Orlando tomorrow, and we'll be in the area for more than 5 hours before the show. I was wondering what sites each of the corps attending will be rehearsing at so we can kill some time. If you have the schedule for the day for each corps as well, that would be GREAT!
  11. I predict a 9th place finish for them, maybe 10th...This corps has finally found its groove, I hope they go far!
  12. Im interested to see where the Cadets stack up when up against the other top 4.
  13. friend in Spirit said the show got rained out... bummer.
  14. The level that the Cavaliers are achieving this show is extremely high. So I did infact vote that they were "GOOD". However as far as entertainment goes...it has to be one of their worst shows of this decade. Music is monotonous and leaves a stale taste in your mouth...the drill is boring, looks easy, and is just not up there with the rest of Gaines work. I was VERY excited for the cavaliers show this year, which rarely happens, and I was VERY disappointed with what I saw and heard. By no means am I saying this corps is bad or doesnt deserve the scores they are obtaining...but I do think this is the least entertaining show by them in a very long time. I predict they will peak just shy of finals. Dont look for this corps to place anywhere below third though.
  15. I had to go with SCV this year. As much as we all love Gaines' drill, it seems in the recent years he's been losing his touch. His earlier drill was amazing and cutting edge, 2002 being his best work. However Im just not feeling the WOW factor at all this year...maybe its because we've seen these tricks and ideas before...maybe its because its just simply not up to par with previous helpings.....whatever it is, it isnt the same...and SCV wins my vote.
  16. BAC Blue Stars Pacific Crest Phantom Regiment - this corps is much farther ahead at this point in the season then in previous years.
  17. I think Spirit has been spinning its tires for a few weeks now...but I believe they made a significant jump a night or two ago. Also, compared to the other scores circulating out there, Spirit was slotted as being 12th. Of course this doesnt mean anything until they meet up with the other corps, but it gives hope that Spirit will be in finals. I have 2 friends in the guard and one in the percussion...both guard and percussion seem to be strong points for the corps, so it may be enough to push them into finals. I hear the Brass is starting to do better as well. I know Im pulling for Spirit to be in finals!!! Lets hope they make it.
  18. Lets see....what drum corps apparel do I have in my closet.........hmm SCV Track Jacket Cadets 07 Show Shirt Couple more Cadet shirts Cadet patches Cadet shorts BAC hat BAC patches Cadet Jacket
  19. The pants are a dark green. These uniforms are brilliant! I love the design and fresh new look to the Vanguard, while keeping it close to its roots. Very cool.
  20. I have to say, I really am surprised with Phantom this season. From what I saw in Stanford, I am VERY impressed. Early on this season I thought they were very boring and uninteresting...but after last night....WOW. I loved the energy and intensity this corps emulated, it was VERY exciting to watch...and this may just be me...but I think this is the cleanest phantom has been at this point in the season for a couple of years now. I've got to say, I've been rooting for SCV to pass up Phantom this year, but last night I found myself pulling for Phantom...this corps is definitely headed in the right direction, Finals should be VERY interesting this year. Cant wait.
  21. The second murder BY FAR...How bad ### is it when the guy just drops the slave girl and then walks over her...BRAVO phantom!
  22. Im surprised 2002 Cadets are ranked so low on this list...that ballad and the pledge of allegiance was one of the MOST patriotic and impactful moments in Drum Corps history IMHO. Ah well.
  23. Blue Devils Cadets Cavaliers SCV Crown Phantom Boston Bluecoats BK Colts Blue Stars Spirit And probably close to that order.
