I'm not the biggest fan of narration when it's over used, but does anyone else think Jersey Surf's show might actually work better with a little narrative to help the "Pay it Forward" theme come across better?

I watch the stream on about a 30 min delay, so I avoid any blips/drops in quality. I would assume they won't be the last corps to have that issue today.

You'll have access to it for as long as that particular live stream is up. So, once they take it down and chop it into individual shows, your access is done. As a FN member since 2008, it's definitely worth the extra $50 to pay for the full season than just one show, IMO.

I do believe Genesis' tuning issue was due to the transition from warming up in a hot TX heat to performing in a much cooler AC environment, & they may not have made the necessary adjustments tuning wise.

Ah yes, the infamous Louisiana "green tea" water comes to mind here. We had to convince ourselves our jugs were full of "green tea" and not water that looked putrid in order to drink it.

Definitely someone taking it up, and nailing it. I also just found and watched the show before it'll be taken down shortly. Definitely sounds like the sound system is jacked up to 11 for the final tilt hit again, and I got goosebumps from it, like I did watching the Akron show.

Sounds like a good ol' fashioned rainout to me.

Crown 2009 had a similar corps-wide bug during the same week of tour (leading to San Antonio), and they finished the season strong. I see no reason why Blue Stars won't do the same!

I'm having no issues viewing recaps, but you're not the first person to speak about this issue, so maybe I'm in the minority of not having any issues?

Genesis over Cascades and Music City over Pioneer (5 days before San Antonio, mind you). The sheets are the same this year so more can be thought about this. I'm very intrigued to see how high some of these open corps will climb this year.

I think I recall hearing something about SCV no longer encouraging/wanting the yell in their shows anymore, thus not writing those moments into the shows. I could be wrong though, but I remember people desperately trying to insert it into the 2011 show (myself included), and that might of been when that discussion came out?

I'll just put it this way. Since then, to my knowledge, they haven't had as prominent of featured soloists as in, say, the mello soloist from 2007. Have they had soloists since then? Yes, they have (09,10,12, and 13 off the top of my head), but IMO, not nearly as prominent as that one. All the years I mentioned above in parentheses had solos which were very short in comparison. Granted, I haven't watched the some of those shows in a while, so if I'm not remembering the length of those solos correctly then my apologies. It's just my observation, combined with a little inside knowledge. Hesitant probably wasn't the best word to use, but oh well lol.

I don't know for this season, but I do know that ever since the 2007 Finals debacle, they've been hesitant to have many soloists featured in their show. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, that's common. The true Finals recording is very tough to come by, but it's out there somewhere. I've heard/seen it, so let's just say their soloists didn't do very well that day.

Well I get the ending now. The tarp makes the field feel like everything is tilted towards that corner, so like a pinball, everything "tilts" to that corner. Very clever.
