  1. I got cut from Scouts because I didn't have the chops and I'm still an avid fan. =P
  2. I an surprised at the HUGE lack of 07 crown in this topic. only seen it once. Most emotional ending ever.
  3. Actually, I find that doing it through ticketmaster is the best. Just do it through the PHONE. You can ask the representative to check certain sections. It is great.
  4. All I can really account for, having marched in the 2000s is my own personal experience. Muscle memory was kinda what my corps went for. I was responding to the notion that the dot system would crumble under no yard lines, which I think we both would agree, muscle memory or memorizing step sizes, after you learn your drill well, it would not.
  5. I mean, eventaully you just have the step sizes drilled in your head. That is the point of the dot method. Muscle memory.
  6. It is true, but they ARE getting cleaner. I mean, if their design kept getting better and they were kind of complacent with execution, I would be concerned, but I am satisfied with the progress they make from year to year.
  7. I thought I would throw in that playing a king euph is like playing liquid chocolate.
  8. Yes. Doesn't matter if you are worried about making it or not. Go for experience. You will still receive the best brass instruction around at the camps there. I didn't even make it, and it made me twice as good.
  9. 70s madison is like O_O YESSSSSS!!!! 80s Cadets is the same 90s BD, PR, and Madison were all just great 2000s Crown and Cavies were just on fire. I find it hard to have a favorite corps, because I really enjoy periods of certain corps. But yes, I enjoy all eras. I was listening to 79 BD just now, it was a pretty win show.
  10. I voted for cavies. That is just one of my favorite symphonies. You can't go wrong with the Planets, IMO
  11. Cadets 01- SO UNDER RATED! Just watch it! It rocks! BD 06. Really the only one I could stand. Cavies 06. Yes! ^_^
  12. a demanding one? So many little nuances and stuff. Oh yea, and the drill. >_>
  13. I'da said [concert] horn. Just sayin'.
  14. Wow, wow, wow, if we're factoring in demand... I think cavies 06 would like a word with you!
  15. Cavies 06, even though there is no chance of it winning. =P
  16. It was a hard choice between 07 cadets and 09 crown. Went to Crown by a hair. That was a first place show. BD executed theirs, and I respect that, but that didn't look like any second place show.
  17. 08 Cavies. Brilliantly designed and executed. From the visual program, to the theatrics, to some really cool musical moments! Genius, really. Way underrated show. (I also wanted it to win that year. >_>)
  18. Also, I would like to add that a drum corps show is more than a musical program. The visual program is equally important, which in the case of regiment 03 bores me to death. I love the music of regiment 03, I bought the mp3 off the fan network and everything, but I can't stand to watch the video. So, that is why MY vote didn't go for 03.
  19. Had to go with Crown on this one. Sorry, Phantom, I still love you!
  20. I'ma go ahead and be the different one here and go with 07 vanguard. I loved watching that show to death!
