So DCI announced that they will be doing something different with the theator event this year, and it will be held June 20 instead of like May or something. This is what I heard from a corps director that what is in the works for details. 1. On June 18th and 19th there are 2 TOC events one of thoes will be taped and broadcasted at the event. 2. Scores will not be announced at the actual event. The scores will be broadcasted LIVE in theators. 3. This will give the fans a sneak preveiw of the upcoming DCI season, and will get people all excited about the upcoming season Ok ok I know the details are REALLY rough but that is what I heard was being disscussed. It is proably wrong, but we shall see once they actually annouce it.

Even though I decided to march with the Colts this year. I really wish the best for them this season! I hope they get their numbers up so they can have a awesome season!

So I learned from a corps director this past weekend that there might be a NFL strike this upcoming season. The director said that this will directly effect DCI becuase if the strike happens, then the San Antonio show will not happen again in the ALamo Dome. Apparantly the players are asking for another pre-season game that would happen at the same time the DCI regional would happen. So the owners of the Alamo Dome is pending reserveing the venue for The DCI event. Unforchantly :( it looks like us performers might have to do the show we did last year outside in the hot sun again arrrggg!!! If it goes back to the Alamo Dome the director said that I& E would happen on a sunday, and all world class drum corps would have '' THE WORLDS LARGEST FREE DAY!!'' So I hope the NFL sucks it up and makes the right decsion.

So I was looking at another thread and I saw this guy ( forgot his login name) but he had a link to this in his signature...http://www.vampiresofberlin.com/ Apparantly he is the author of the book and he websiteis really cool!! and if you go to the soundtrack the song is really cool to ... allmost drum corps like in my opinion. The book doesnt look half bad either and it sort of sounds like a good drum corps like show..... I think we should take a look at this.... NOTE Not a shamless plug for the book I dont even know the guy :P

Allright friends, I have been reading some of these post and frankly I am not happy. I have been seeing post were people are saying they will not support going to shows where the G7 corps are playing. My question is, how does this help DCI? I mean by boycotting shows you take out why young people like me do drum corps. I understand your anger and fustration, but why take this out on the members? I am marching a corps that is not currently taking part in this G7 project. That being said, I do have friends who do partiscipate in some of those corps. I wish them the best of luck this summer, but I would want to see crowd support them the members. You dont have to supoort or agree with the direction some of these directors want to take, but I plead for you to go out and support the members of these corps. They do not have to suffer, and neither does DCI

So how does this effect all the rest of the drum corps? is it going to leave them out to dry??

THIS COULD BE BAD REALLY BAD!!!

Allright I am a big guy myself, but I was just curious what corps in years past have you noticed to be '' abnormally large'' in weight. You may not see this today in the activety, but for some reason maybe in years past you might of seen this. BE NICE!!!

Woah that fb status was not saying it was all a joke.. I know that guy who posted it, he told me not to use his name on this site so I shall respect that. I will say that I warned him before this all unfolded. Of course he was skeptical of me and my warning. He went to a meeting with the director and other staff memebers. He sent me a nice message saying that the corps director is way in over his head. So the person whos name shall be not said, does not want to be affliated with the corps. I might have to add this was the first time the individual ever met the corps director. So I think the intention of his FB status was a way to ironically distance him self away from the group. That being said THIS WAS A REAL THREAT and could of been dangerous to the DCI community. That being said again I wish I could show you the message he sent me, but he has requested for me not to. Thank you
