Anyone at the show?

Drum Corps Fans... My family is new to Drum Corps... Our son is a rookie trumpet player with the Blue Stars. I remember when he came to me back in October of 2008 to audition for a drum corps. My response was, “you’re too young and we don't want you being away from home all summer long... You're only a sophomore in High School... You should not be spending a summer alone "... Well... He auditioned, was accepted into the Blue Stars Family... I still worry about things like freak summer storms, accidents, and all the other things parents worry about with their kids. After spending lots of quality time with staff, volunteers, and members I don't worry about the right decisions being made regarding my oldest child. The Corps has done nothing but the best for our kids regarding their well being and safety. With regard to our props on the field... Some like them... some don't... But, we have them, we built them, and we'll rebuild them. We appreciate the generosity of the DCP forum folks. We appreciate all the well wishes... Thank you... One thing I'm confident of after this experience... if you or someone you love is interested in joining a drum corps, many are good and do the right thing. I know for a fact that if someone you love decides to join the Blue Stars... You will not regret it... Dex FCO
