I was a huge Bluecoats honk all season - I wanted them to win so badly I could taste it - however, upon reflecting on the quality of the Blue Devils show and the higher levels of demand and execution by the Blue Devils I came to the realization that the Blue Devils had the best show vehicle and performed best at finals. I think the Bluecoats had the vehicle to win, but I believe they didn't quite have enough to keep up with the Devs --
  2. Great idea! Pro and college sports teams are doing it - it would be great if DCI and flo could make it happen!
  3. sorry disagree - this year was great - but what pleases the beer and pretzels crowd doesn't win championships -- Bluecoats have got to out Blue Devil the Blue Devils like they did in 16 to win another championship - Crown or Boston is going to win a championship before Bluecoats will if Bluecoatds doesn't find a way to build a vehicle that doesn't run out of demand/achievement before finals. That being said, I am very happy for the Bluecoats season and hope they continue to innovate and drive the activity.

Teddy Roosevelt's "The Man in the Arena" It will be very hard to top this season - the design staff needs to go back to the drawing board and chart a new direction - more demand more achievement - Guard needs to be equal or better to Vanguard and Devils Drum Line needs a total overhaul and needs to contribute. See ya next year.

  7. What a great night of drum corps! no issues from our flo tonight - Bluecoats were very good Blue Devils were very good too -- it's gonna be close! Super night - we all are going to remember this season!!!

So before the shows start tonight - I like to make sure my system is adjusted and ready to go - What better way than to go out to youtube and listen to some great old shows -- For my fellow old timers, what encore show was the most you heard back when you were on tour? For me - 88 Madison - 89 Cavaliers - 90 Devils -- Really fun to go back and hear those shows again and remember those summer nights milling around the equipment with snak in hand hearing the corps lighting it up over yonder back at the stadium -- We had it good back in the golden era....
  9. agree - use the TV/monitor as a display for your computer and you will be better off -- without an easy typing interface, a smart TV is really frustrating -- most people are going to stick their cable box on the display and call it good - more people do not use the smart TV aspect of it -- for internet stuff we use our computers -- connect computer to TV via hdmi for best results - sound from computer goes into stereo - voila!
  10. Hear hear! Sportsmanship is a virtue. It's not whether you win or lose - it's how you play the game Blue Devils and Bluecoats are both class acts - both committed to excellence -- Blue Devils are exceptional - it's because Bluecoats aspire to be just as good as them that the Bluecoats have become what they are today. Don't denigrate greatness - strive to match greatness It's fun to see a new champion because of the novelty/newness - but you can't deny that the champion, whoever it is, deserves what they achieve. We are at the final run of an incredibly fun season. Bluecoats had the best vehicle early and mid and even added some additional speed the final week of the season - but Blue Devils have been pacing themselves and know that race isn't to the swift but to him that endures to the end -- Bluecoats' vehicle is starting to shimmy - they are running on fumes do they have enough to make it over the finish line? Blue Devils' vehicle is on cruise control - if given the opportunity they can floor it tonight and take the checkered. It's going to be a wild finish!
  11. yeah - but putting Cavie's over BD and BC? and BAC over BD??? That's ballsy! To me that says, I don't care what others think or have done -- I'm calling this caption my way!
