  1. I have seen C2 members using LSTTV from the last line of the C2 corps song.
  2. The Cadets2 have released a tentative schedule for the summer. They will definitely have some amazing opportunities with a couple DCI exhibitions. http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle%3Cem%20class='amp'%3E&%3C/em%3Eid=20618&news_iv_ctrl=2261#.T3sOUnh8xSU
  3. the more people, especially young people, they can get into the horn line the more people that will get to spend their summer learning and getting better from instructors who have taught and/or marched at cadets. they also have to balance out the corps and can't march 12 front ensemble, 10 snares, 5 basses, 5 quads, and a cymbal line against 40 horns... corps can teach people how to be better players. and as my band director would say "give me work ethic over talent"...
  4. We are wearing the all maroon uniform. Since it is not the "traditional" uniform it can be assumed that C2 will always be in either the cream or maroon uniforms from 2011. And since Cadets will be using the cream uniform, we get the maroon this year. The horn line WILL be using all 56 horns. We are only a few short of that number with a few new faces slated to be at the camp this weekend. Come check us out this Sunday if you are in the area, South Mountain Middle School, Allentown, PA.
  5. Cadets2 will be wearing the demon uniforms from last year. Just got fitted for mine last weekend...
  6. Cadets2 Camp Exceeds Expectations Monday, March 5, 2012 Brass positions still open for those who wish to make history From the vibe of the members and staff at the end of ensemble rehearsal on Sunday, the Cadets2 organization has crossed another significant milestone in their history as the countdown to their ‘launch’ continues. ... A weekend filled with over twenty hours of rehearsal blocks, colorguard auditions, a session with section leaders of the 2012 Cadets as well as an official visit from DCA representatives on the stability of the organization capped yet another busy and productive weekend. 7. Cadets2 Announce Leadership Positions for 2012 Friday, March 2, 2012 Cadets Organizations Develop Strong Member-Leaders Being a drum major or a section leader in The Cadets comes with a tremendous amount of responsibility in a model that has been developed over years and years, and now the tradition extends to Cadets2. It is with great enthusiasm that the Cadets2 organization recognizes the first-ever leaders for the 2012 inaugural season for the corps. The Drum Majors for the Cadets2 inaugural season will be... 8. YEA! does not bring these kids to the show. West Chester is host to a marching band leadership workshop for mostly drum majors during the week and part of their fees to attend camp go towards watching the show. The camp was run by George Parks but I am no longer sure who is running the camp since he passed away last fall.
  9. I will walk around West Chester any day... I wouldn't walk alone in Chester. Let's just say that they don't have a bunch approachable kids winning state basketball championships in Chester
  10. No East Chester but there is a Chester, but it is southeast of West Chester. But the county is Chester County. West Chester is in west part of Chester County.
  11. Now it's 1.9. So I guess 1.4 was a little gift from the judges last night... Let's make another thread to point out that our favorite corps is being scored lower than Cavies.
  12. Crossmen were two shows, Quarters/Semis, away from going 16th to 12th in 2008... we were placed 12th at every regional that year and finished 13th. And we were still playing the guidry Cirque stuff arranged for brass... the only thing that kept us in it was the challenge Darryl Pemberton gave us in terms of a visual show. This year they have an awesome brass book. I havent seen the show, only heard it through recordings so I hope they gave them enough of a challenge visually to compete with those around them because as it was mentioned in another thread about the top spots, its the visual that is going to push you past those around you.
  13. The oldest person would possibly be 32
  14. Just finished volunteering at Cadets for the end of spring training. They definitely are playing Old 100th (doxology) and Amazing Grace for their ballad
  15. As far as money goes, the corps generally have a timeline as far as how much you get back based off on circumstances and time of departure. I started marching Cadets last year, my ageout, until I got hurt the last day of spring training. I got about 2/3 of the fees I had already finished paying back. If someone just decided one morning to up an quit at the same point in the summer, they wouldn't have gotten much back at all.
