  1. Here's hoping Crossmen get up around 80 tonight.
  2. Its interesting that Troopers dropped about a point, Colts dropped .6 and Glassmen dropped .05 while Spirit increased 1 anc Crossmen incresed 2.3. That 12-17 grouping continues to be tight. Hard to tell about Academy as they are still West and not going head to head with the other corps right now. Scouts put a little distance between themselves and this group tonight.
  3. Wow, nice job Scouts. Also, Crossmen almost caught Colts tonight. Could it be the Xmen are making a move?
  4. I am not familiar with the history here. There appears to be some people that really aren't past the move to Texas (Cowboy Country). Following them this season and watching last night it appears they made a major step forward with this performance. I enjoyed the show so much more. It was more intersting visually and musically I heard specific parts of the music that just hadn't come through before. There were mellophone parts that cleaned up for instance that really added alot to the music. The trumpets hit some licks that were just dirty before. The crowd also reacted much better than the Michigan show. (Saw both on FN) My son is marching with them this year. It is his rookie year. They are having to "grow up" some members this year. He was telling me about rehearsals before Minnessota show and they did some things different to get the focus going and put in the changes. My son told me after they performed last night that they were very excited about their performance and staff liked what they saw except for an area in the closer. Basically they saw the hard work of the previous three days pay off with more energy, better playing, and better marching. They have some momentum but too bad they didn't get scores to be able to gauge progress in that regard. All this to say I agree and appreciate what some Xmen alumni have said in the thread about the group changing and tyring to find themselves. Sometimes alot of work happens before progress is made and you must fail first to reach a tipping point to succeed. We'll see in the next few shows if the tide is turning and the 2010 verson is growing up to show much improvement. I do think based on what I have seen they will be in Semis. To get to Saturday will be much tougher. I'll be there for Semis and Finals either way.
  5. They made some changes this week that seem to have paid off. The crowd reacted much better than the Michigan show. I liked the new wrinkles. Based on what I saw tonight, I would group Crossmen with Spirit, Troopers, and Colts. I didn't see Glassmen. Scouts were a step above this group as were Blue Knights (ahead of Scouts too). I think Crossmen took a major step forward tonight. As to the individual errors, etc. I know the last three days they have addressed this in a major way. Reading others' posts, it seems the Full Circle is a like it or hate it arrangement this year. Not much in the middle. It may be such a old favorite that a new arrangement just isn't sitting well with some. That may be adding to their problems. All that to say, the show tonight was much better. Still needs cleaning, but much more energy, etc. Just my opinion.
  6. The VODs have everyone but Crossmen up. Wonder why?
  7. Just told that if half the corps perform they post scores. Did half perform?
  8. Will they publish scores for those that performed?
  9. Sorry. I misunderstood. My son says they are in an ice rink and ok. We are drilled in Tx to never remain in a vehicle during a tornado. I'm glad no one is trying to outrun the storm.
  10. I liked the changes to the Crossmen's show. Was much more exciting and I thought the hornlike was much better than the Michigan show. I don't know about earlier "Full Circle" shows others have done but I like this version ( after recent changes). More energy than earlier in the season. Go Bones!
  11. Way to go Spirit. The 13-17 grouping is really tight right now. I think Crossmen are getting things together better so all these corps are going to be fun to watch and see if any of them can get by Glassmen/Scouts. I wonder who in this grouping has the better book that when clean will separate their group?
  12. Looks like Crossmen are moving in the right direction again. A gain of 1.3 pts. Not too bad. Now 5 days of cleaning and then the Minnesota show. Keep working.
  13. Go Crossmen. Let's get this thing going in the right direction!
  14. I'm surprised Teal beat Crossmen in a couple of areas tonight. Don't agree with that.
  15. To me Phantom was way ahead of everything else we've seen tonight. Nice job.
  16. Got to see Crossmen for the first time since June 18th at their pre-tour show (on FanNetwork feed). For those who have seen them before how did this show compare to previous shows? I noticed some additions to drill since mid-June. Agree cleaning needs to happen. Thanks.
  17. Is it worth the $15 for the web streaming? There is only one camera tonight. Was thinking about it.
  18. That grouping of 12-17 is going to be fun to watch the next few weeks. I'm hoping XMen can make a move soon. They are indeed working really hard.
