  1. I personally feel that it would be stupid for DCE not support this. It shows some promise that they've posted it as news on their website though. The European Championships is a great event. I love performing in Kerkrade, the stadium is amazing. It would be great if next year the Renegades were there to top it all off. This surely is an excuse for all you lot to make a trip to Europe, especially after we've come to the States twice now ;)
  2. Yes Renegades! Make this happen and we'll be seeing you in Kerkrade.
  3. Different judging system in Europe meaning our score at DCA is not comparable. I'd just like to thank everyone for all the support you have gave us this year, it was great to see some people watching the webcast across the pond. I hope you enjoyed our performance as we definitely enjoyed getting to play it for you. The audience reaction we got within and after our show on Saturday will be an unforgettable feeling and a memory which will last a lifetime.
  4. Like Tom said, the crowd was unbelievable. If you closed your eyes you'd think there were thousands there! Great weekend, onto Holland we go.
  5. Drum corps across the pond is all a part time activity and is majorly open age. I think the only solution would be a mixture of all the corps rather than one in particular...with a more intense schedule.
  6. If I was Richard Branson or Bill Gates I would pay for you all to come and have the finals over here! We've got many great stadiums if there was no budget ;)
  7. Thanks everyone, still got a buzz from everyones reaction. As I have said it was an honour to play to that crowd.
  8. If there was an endless supply of money, we'd be out there every year!
  9. It's been great having Teddy on tour, if you ever felt down you could always guarantee that he would be able to make you smile again and again and again. He's full of laughter, love it! Rob & John do a sterling job and no one would ever be able to question that. I think I could speak for everyone when I say that we owe them so much more than what we could give them back.
  10. Hi all, There'll probably be an official article from the corps in the next couple of days bout the tour as a whole. But we're all back in the UK safe and sound. On a personal level as a member I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person involved with the tour. From the staff to the fans in the crowd everyone has had an impact to the success of our tour. We've been lucky to have some exceptional staff on tour with us and they have gave up their free time and the work they have done with us was remarkable. We're so lucky to have people who want to invest into us and this will never be forgotten. Tom Peashey also deserves a mention for the hard work he put into helping the corps. It'll be nice to see him again when he joins us for DCE in Holland! Also a huge thanks to everyone in the crowds. The reaction we got was spine tingling, I had goosebumps all over! As a performer my number one box is that the audience are pleased and I hope that we achieved that. It was also great to have people approach us whilst around the stadium, everyone was extremely friendly and it was an honour to perform in front of one of the best crowds I have ever seen. A big shout out to The Hurricanes who we had the pleasure of sharing our hotel with. They organised room on their coaches to transport some of our members which I got to experience after prelims. They are a great bunch, they should be very proud of their production and I wish them the very best for the future. As I sit and write this it is hard to take in that the tour is over. It feels like the season is over, however the show must go on as we have just under a month left to go! Thanks once again to everyone, Sam Catcliffe
  11. Scouts on tour, see you in Annapolis!

Even better - See you in Bridgeport AND Annapolis! Good luck, KG!

  12. This is such sad news, it's a step back into the olden days. I thought with Madison, they corps were connected to BSA because the members had to join BSA to be covered by their insurance. At Kidsgrove I think our connection with the Scout is a bit blurred, we have criminal records checked as requested by the Scout Association but I think that is it.
  13. Can a Mod delete this post? I posted what I had to say on the wrong thread...doh!
  14. Is this suppose to be for things they could use whilst on tour?
  15. If Minnesota Brass let me ride around in that car it will officially make our tour complete for me!
  16. I suppose I can post this link as its on YouTube anyway... The video starts into the 2nd piece of the show so it's missing the preshow and the opener and then abit of the 2nd piece. Enjoy!
  17. Cadets hasn't got the same ring as Scouts! Can't wait to come over, counting the days down :)
  18. Is it usual for some corps to start competing in August?
  19. It's like £1 > $1.52 Silly economic meltdown. I've been the States when it was £1 > $2. That was amazing!
  20. I don't want to imagine what the total cost of the tour is, I just keep repeating in my head about how it'll be worth every penny! I can't describe in words what I think about Rob Swindells, he goes above and beyond and he is the definition of devotion, passion and commitment.
  21. Woahhh, we don't use that rubbish in the UK! ;)
  22. I see what you mean Jeff, we can only just wait and see to where we lie within the rest of the corps after Bridgeport. Personally as I said before I won't be remembering the score in years to come but the memories gained will be with me for a life time.
  23. We are returning to DCA for our second tour this summer. Can't wait!
  24. No problem Matt, as I can always rely on you to put me right visually ;)
