San Antonio, Semis and Finals. They had the biggest crowd response of any corps all 3 times I saw them live and every time I watched on the Fan Network. Not trying to take away from Phantom, who was a close second, and the Cadets and BD who the crowd also liked. What's was your point again?

Some of those are probably pretty close. Some are just silly. I don't know which is more improbable though: Crown winning or Madison not making finals. OK - after further thought - Crown does have a pretty awesome rep this year so I suppose it could happen.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Definitely join a winter group and don't be defeated if you don't make Crown on the first try. There are many other corps that offer a great summer experience!

I wondered about that. It sounded like a cool idea but that show worked pretty well the way it was. Using precious rehearsal time learning a different ending would have been a waste.

So after hearing what the Crossmen are playing, what do you think? I'm excited!

I guess you and others missed my point. It would be nice to read the titles of the music to be played and not all the other foo foo. Thanks for your valuable advice.

Don't you think some of these announcements are getting a bit ridiculous? I just want to see and hear some Drum Corps!

It cracks me up that anyone would question whether the Cavaliers will field a great show this year. When was the last time they had a bad show? I've only been around corps since around 2004 but I can't remember them ever not being in the hunt for the gold.

Yeah - The Boxer stands out for me as well.

I wonder if this benefits the individual corps any more than buying tickets directly from them. I know we usually buy our San Antonio tickets from Ticketmaster but this year we got them from Madison directly.

We've got some really strong programs here in the Houston area. As good as they are I don't believe any of them would be competitive in the DCI arena.

I disagree. If someone has been making outstanding contributions to drum corps for years they deserve to be recognized whether they are still teaching or not.

True - they seem to do their "moves" with as identical form as possible - probably better than any other corps. The problem is they do way to much of it.

Honestly I'm a bit surprised the mods have left this open as it has absolutely nothing to do with drum corps but I agree that waffles are delicious.

I occasionally watch some DVDs from the old man's legacy collection and I always really like the SkyRyders. So SkyRyders!

For me my top two were Phantom and the Madison Scouts. I guess I'm a sucker for great closers. Honorable mention to the Bluecoats and Crossmen, of course!

I used to argue with you on this until I aged out and we started going to shows together. Unless you're in the front few rows the sabres get totally lost to the audience. I think maybe they should be used for indoor exclusively?
