y'all just wait till you see the show if you think Battle Hymn sounds good. :) I'm pretty sure a video will be posted after their first actual judged performances. They will at least be at the San Antonio regional so that's a big step up from last year. They'll get to be in Minneaoplis also to compete with some more open class corps. So happy to see this going on in our home state. The majority of the membership is from this region so it goes to show that Louisiana really does have talent.

There decisions are very smart and actually kind of what DCI allows them to do. There are many factors into being able to attend finals......one big thing is band directors allowing them to miss camp and what not. I would sure allow mine knowing the experience he's receiving. Boring stuff aside, I just got back from their exhibition performance and holy smokes. Just wait!!!! :) Very impressive. Melodic and extremely enjoyable!! Honestly noticeably better than some world class corps.

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules but I was hoping I can get a suggestion. I need some money and am thinking about selling my collection. I have the whole legacy collection PLUS almost all the years thereafter. What would be a reasonable price for the whole lot???

actually 1.4 still a bit bigger than the .1 the night before......but 1.4 is alot more doable than 2.5.

umm let's see here......i know a very talented flute player who marched Cadets for a few years on mello recently and did extremely well. I went to school with several others mainly sax players and a clarinet player who marched corps such as Blue Devils, Cavaliers, and Carolina Crown.....all phenomenal hornlines...oh and did I mention being on lead parts.......so yes it exists even at the upper echelon of corps. This is a non issue...........work ethic and discipline will get a you a long way. Sit back and enjoy another great season of drum corps and take a chill pill and enjoy the hard work being put in by everyone. Go Spirit!! Can't wait to be in Atlanta for memorial weekend soon!!

i don't have time to read through everything so sorry if this was said already. I don't mind a staff member getting excited during their corps performance but what bothers me is when a staff member is watching other corps and bad mouthing them. I've heard some pretty terrible things being said from rival corps staffs.

yes please do because I deperately need the help of their director...I have Jr high kids in my group..and ummm........we have enough problems getting them to know what's left and what's right. LOL

heck yeah.....keep climbin Spirit...hope when we get full panels we don't get knocked down to much. I know Crossmen percussion is bringin the heat for sure. This is gonna be a heck of a season.

Mine were waiting for me when I got home last night!! Finished our christmas concert, AND come home to these. I'm pretty pumped and am showing them to all the band classes today since the concert is over. I think the picture quality is outstanding but make sure you are hooked up with an HDMI cable. It is a HUGE difference. I have the HDMI cable hooked up at home and was blown away......no HDMI in the bandroom yet and yeah..not quite as impressive.

has anyone received their blu-rays that preordered them with season pass last summer???

Well said. I completely agree with you. I marched 2002 and 2003 and the big delta while it was classy and reflective of our history....it really isn't visually effective. I see glimpses of myself on the video and think am I really that short??? LOL I am kinna short....but I looked very short and pudgy. LOL The alteration in the beginning of the 03 season helped out alot....the jackets were about half of 02. Then we went to the new uni with the white delta.....I loved these BUT it was back to the same long jacket making us look short and not visually effective. The new uniform is quite a departure...but I like it more and more everytime I look at it. It is a little BOAish BUT at this point I really don't care about that. As long as the members out there are enjoying their performance and I get to see it and be entertained that is all I care about. KSA!! Spirit.

although I would love to see Spirit over Glassmen.....I think this will be pretty darn close.
