Anyone get their Blu-Rays yet? I ordered mine long ago (with CDs) but haven't seen either item yet. I'm getting impatient!

That's just great. I wonder if we should approach DCI about this and see if this can be fixed. Are the APD's the same quality?

I would like to see DCI offer finals as real PPV, not streaming. There are too many variables with streaming that do not come with PPV. I'd pay $100 for PPV. No joke.

I agree, to an extent. I don't "get full" in August, but I put DCI down for a rest so that when the Blu-Rays and CDs arrive (my UPS account indicates that they've printed labels), things are still exciting and somewhat fresh.

I also think they should get rid of the mello lick during the last chord. That chord with the expanding field coverage is pure gold without any ornamentation.

The new ending with the horns down/pause reminds me a bit of Cadets from last year when the DM turned around after the last ffff chord. I liked it better when Bloo went right into the perc/guitar ending. If they want they can chant "Bloo" on the downbeat of the coda.

Anyone know if the guard girl in the ft Wayne video is ok? She sort of missed her stage dive (she was the last jumper) and looked like she landed on her face or shoulder. You could see the brass members adjust to try to catch her but she landed short.

Can't say I disagree with anything here. But I am getting the sense that people are writing off Crown. Crown is #### good this year and are poised to make their show real special by August. Does that mean they will come out on top? Not sure. But for a defending champion with an outstanding horn line, they sure aren't being fawned over like Bloo. That said, I absolutely love the Coats' show, and I hope it continues to evolve.

Nailed it. I am really hoping that this show is overhauled as part of some "master plan." If not, I could see SCV at the bottom of the top 10 this year.

I'm not so sure that's the effect they're going for there, but if that's the case, then they are overthinking it. What might work is if they try to make the tilt three-dimensional. In other words, pretend like the field is no longer level and forces everyone, INCLUDING PIT, to run toward one side. And when they hit the line, they fall down, as if they are off the field. The current arrangement kind of looks like a mess that's not supposed to look like a mess.

I am digging this show except for the very, very end. The synth bends with the hornline is killer, and it is going to be very cool when they smooth out the sound and body work to make it seamless. But the last 32 counts (or whatever) featuring the percussion and having people jump off the triangles makes no sense to me. If you want to keep the perc feature, fine, but put it right before the synth/brass stuff so that the very last thing the crowd hears is that awesome wall of sound. Otherwise, they are taking the wind out of their own sails by going so big with the penultimate note but ending with a moment that looks ripped out of the Cavaliers playbook. Either way, I really like this show. With a little sprucing up and some thoughtful changes, this corps might be a contender.

This show has the potential to be phenomenal (if it already isn't). I love the design, the music, everything. It usually takes me a few weeks to get into the shows, but with this show I am already feeling it. I do hope, though, that this doesn't mean that Bloo is peaking too early. Regardless, this show has a lot more promise than I see from the others after a few early reads (caveat: see second sentence).

Does anyone think that half of this show might be a ruse? Like perhaps it's not the exact show they're going to put on the field? I echo what others have said that it seems so . . . bland . . . and music that would fit better in a documentary than a football field. Maybe I'm nuts, but I'm just trying to wrap my head around how they went from that bad-### show last year to this . . .

I am going to predict that the stage will be filled with guard spinning during AS. Hell, they might use it to feature the drumline during their feature.
