  1. Well, as far as SF Bay Area teams, the 49ers already have the Niner Noise....BDE I think.
  2. Encourage them. This is the equivalent of looking for a job. It'll be a good measuring stick, and perhaps a wakeup call. If they go to corps like BD or SCV, they may have an opportunity to tune their skills in the B/Cadet corps while remaining in the organization of their "dreams". It won't guarantee they move up automatically, but if they work hard, they could reap their rewards in the future.
  3. I think Jeff has posted in these forums in the past as well. I'm sure he lurks. Not only does Jeff have a history with BD, he has a history with a couple of high school programs under Ramiro Barrera.
  4. You can contact him through this website. He's a member of DCP.
  5. That new Akron stadium reminds me a little of Stanford's design...not big enough for Championships, but ideal for a regional.
  6. That would be interesting...reuniting with Murray Gusseck. Brian Mason could make a return to Cavies? Edit: Maybe I typed too early, but maybe Jim will fill the position at Blue Stars now vacated by Brent Montgomery?
  7. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...t=0&start=0 Check out Post #14.
  8. I bought the whole sha-bang - gotta' show love for every junior corps that's still in existence.
  9. I'd like to see either Cadets or Carolina do Van Der Roost's "Olympica". As far as the LOTR pieces, I think you're referring to Johan de Meij. For Troopers, I haven't come up with music selections, but it could be interesting to do a show entitled "Custer's Last Stand".
  10. Since we're bringing up potential new stadiums, I'll might as well throw THIS one into the mix.
  11. Confirmed? I'll buy my tickets for Stanford NOW if they get put in the lineup.
  12. I agree. Garfield '87 did "Ballet for Marty" (in reference to the male dancer )
  13. Well, if it does end up in Santa Clara... New 49ers Stadium I believe it'll be natural grass. The current plan is to build it on part of the parking lot of California's Great America amusement park, currently owned by Cedar Fair. There are maybe 4-5 major hotels in the immediate area and the Santa Clara Convention Center (connected to the Hyatt) is right across the street (I & E?). There is a light rail station already in place between Great America & the Convention Center. The stadium would also lie between 2 freeways that are very close. San Jose International is only 5-10 minutes away. DCI West @ Stanford should be one of the last regionals, and is only 20 minutes away. Open Class QF (& even SF/F?) could be at San Jose State's Spartan Stadium, also about 20 minutes away. Biggest plus (for me)...I could walk to the stadium from home. Cons: It's not built yet. Cedar Fair is putting up a fight. The stadium lies underneath the flight paths of incoming/outgoing for San Jose International.
