Couldn't agree with you more! This is one of the most powerful shows ever. I think Scouts will finish out the season in the top 6 for sure...maybe higher. I don't know what will happen in Minneapolis, but by the end of the season, we'll be seeing them at 6th or higher, IMO. Knowing the staff, they will be making changes to the program to bounce up the scores...So proud of this corps this year. Even the biased judges have to like this show.

I have heard this about these judges before. Can someone fill me in on why these judges hate the Scouts so much?

You obviously don't understand what I'm saying. The Scouts are performing with corps who cannot even come close to their level of performance. I think this is doing them a dis-service.

I agree. They need to be with the Cadets, and Crown, and Phantom, etc. This cannot be motivating competition for them.

Scouts should be way ahead of where they are. Their show is incredible this year, and their horn line is amazing...and their percussion and guard. They need to start having shows with better corps. I think performing with second tier and third tier corps is not a benefit to them. I have also heard through the grapevine that allot of the Scouts are sick...don't know if that is true, but it could explain why they are not moving up much. They are basically where they were as of the Muncie show, and their scores don't reflect the level of the corps.

It is outrageous. How could they improve that much to even get a score higher than the Madison Scouts. Judges...what the heck are you doing out there?

Scouts reign! Cavaliers show doesn't come close.

The Cavaliers moving in front of the Scouts is a TRAVESTY. I saw both corps live last night in Madison. There is no comparison. Judges...what the heck are you thinking? Can't you ever give the Scouts the scores they deserve?

Well...looks like the inevitable is happening. The Cavaliers are moving ahead of the Scouts.

Can't wait to see Madison this weekend. Saw the Akron show in the cinema tonight. If tonight was any indication, I'd say that Madison will pass the Cavaliers this year in the standings. They should have last year, too, IMO.

I would like to see the Cavaliers fall out of the top 8, with Madison and Boston placing ahead of them...but I doubt that will happen just because they are the Cavaliers.

I'm with you!!! It is so political and so transparent. Madison, then Boston...then Cavaliers. That's how the ranking SHOULD turn out, but I'm afraid it won't. And why is the guard of the Madison Scouts ranked so low? I think they are just as good as the other guards. What am I missing? And percussion, too? Everyone is saying that their drum line is vastly improved. But they are below the other two corps in that caption. It will all be based on order of appearance, as it is all the time...and the Scouts will be 9th, because that is the order of appearance for quarter finals.

I hope you are right...but I hate to say, the judges will do everything in their power to keep Madison out of the TOC. They will wind up behind the Cavaliers and Boston...that is my sad prediction. At quarter finals, they play before intermission. Not a good spot. I think the judges will put them in 9th. How sad is that? They don't look or sound like a 9th place corps, IMO. More like 6th or 7th. Judges just don't like them. And don't tell me it is their execution...what other corps could do that rotating front as well as them? There are corps above them that are not executing their shows as well as them. It is all political crap. For one, I'm sick to death of these #### biases by the judges. We need to write to DCI instead of wasting our time expressing our opinions on this forum. Unfortunately, the DCI folks probably never even bother to read this stuff.

Yes, I am afraid you are right. What we see after Allentown will be what we see at Finals. I just can't accept where Madison is. They are way better than a ninth place corps. What the hell????

The Scouts play complicated music from Pictures at an Exhibition with 5/4 time signatures and difficult syncopations. And the Cadets play Jingle Bells!

Yes, I do believe that would be somewhat suspicious. Don't get me wrong...I love Crown. But if Blue Devils have been beating Crown all season, then it makes sense for Crown to finish behind Blue Devils at finals. That's all I'm saying. And by the way, this thread is about the Scouts...not the Carolina Crown and Blue Devils. GO MADISON. They will be awesome in Allentown.

I have a comment about the Scouts. They have been in 7th place in the overall rankings for the vast majority of the season. This is where they should wind up at the World Championships. They have been so consistently ranked throughout the season that it would certainly be suspicious if any corps (that I won't mention) pass them up at this point. GO MADISON SCOUTS. And one other thing...what happened to the scoring change where audience response is considered in the scores???? The Scouts are # 1 in audience reaction, and their scores certainly do not reflect this.

Scouts have peaked???? Are you crazy???? They didn't have a great show in Atlanta, but every corps has an occasional slip...and they have had very few slips this year. just wait. They have been in 7th place in the overall rankings all season. And that is where they SHOULD wind up. They are the most entertaining, that is for sure.

1. Madison Scouts 2. SCV 3. CC 4. Phantom 5. Blue Devils 7. Blue Stars I don't like any other corps enough to even rank them.
