  1. Scouts were the most enjoyable performance of the night, in my opinion. Love, love, love the show. Such a classy group of young men. The Scouts never fail to entertain the crowd.
  2. Gotta love those Scouts! Here's hoping for the Scouts to have a strong finish this year. The corps is a class act.
  3. Judges had to make sure that the Cavaliers stayed ahead of Madison...so they droppped Madison tonight to make sure that didn't happen. And since when do sick corps get the privilege of not getting scored? I am sorry to hear that the Cavaliers are sick. But I know for a fact that this sickness happens from time to time in all of the corps and they just suck it up.
  4. So glad to see that the Scouts did well in Atlanta. I would love to see them finish in the top 7 or 8 this season. I think they have a great chance to do that this year. I agree with the comments above. There were so many comments about them not making finals, etc., etc. Who the heck are you people making these absurd predictions...some even before the season started!!!!! Keep it up, SCOUTS. Give it all you've got the next couple of weeks.
  5. So glad to hear that the Scouts have a good slot/order of appearance for Atlanta. It's about time they get a break! I've been watching them for the past 6 years, and every year at the regionals they tend to get an unfortunate slot. (as witnessed as recently as San Antonio) Fortunately, the corps proved itself in San Antonio and overcame the issue with order of appearance. I'm really hoping they move up in Atlanta. Every year, it seems that Madison is ahead of Boston (and Blue Stars) until Atlanta. Then, suddenly in Atlanta, Boston (and others) jump ahead of them. I sure as heck hope that isn't the case this year. This show is so well designed, and the corps performs it so well. Crowd loves it. No one can argue that! Let's go Scouts!!!!! I would sure like to see you in the top 8 this year.
  6. I just saw the Scouts in Madison. Quite frankly, I don't know why they are being scored so low. I loved the show. I thought it was uplifting and fun. Guard was great. Show was colorful and visually appealing. I thought it was the most enjoyable show of the night. It saddens me to see the corps moving in the wrong direction. Someone...please help me understand why scores are so low. Audience still loves them and somehow, this corps needs to get back to where it deserves to be.
  7. C'mon St. Louis! There are only 15 reservations thus far...we need 79 more. For all of you fans from St. Louis and the surrounding area...please do what you can to encourage friends to reserve tickets.
  8. I cannot believe that anyone would have the audacity to complain about the Scouts in the parade. They had members from all over the country (and other countries) participating who were brought together for about 24 hours to practice as a group. I would venture to say that there is no other corps who would have had such a tremendous alumni response. It was thrilling for the members and for their fans. It is about the brotherhood above all else. They made DCI proud. If you think you could have done it better, go stand outside in the 30 degree temperatures in snow, wind, and rain with no coat for 3 hours.
  9. Madison has not been supplanted! Just wait till next year. I totally agree with the statement above. Madison should have ended up above Boston and Blue Stars.
  10. That's debatable. So many people have ragged on Madison, yet when I saw both the Blue Stars and Madison on 5 occasions live, as well as at finals, and subsequent videos, I can't say that the Blue Stars are better than Madison, and to be frank, I don't think the Boston Crusaders were better either.
  11. Madison is going to finish higher than everyone thinks. There is certainly no way that the Crossmen will beat them. And to be honest, I have a problem seeing Boston and Blue Stars ahead of them. I'm hoping they surprise the hell out of all of you fair-weather fans.
  12. There was a comment out here about how Crown tied with Madison in Brass. Another person responded by saying something snide, like "so, the judges agree with all of us who thought Crown was "off" tonight"...What an insulting remark. And whoever made that remark obviously isn't very informed. I'm so sick and tired of Madison being overlooked and slammed this season. Their brass line is amazing. Go Madison. I hope your members are not listening to all of these negative remarks. And everyone is slamming their show design this season. Well...the members should not be penalized by all this negativity because of show design. If you ask me, there are a number of corps in higher standing whose shows have much worse show design. I hope Scouts turn it up in Indianapolis and prove all of you negative people wrong. And by the way...I understand that something went wrong at the end of their show last night in Allentown...I'm not sure what. But if it hadn't been for some mistake, they would have probably scored a lot higher.
  13. Madison...I love you...BUT...hurry and change the ending.
  14. Lots of talent in that corps, but seems like the design team is not doing the corps justice. Still, I think it is an entertaining show, and should be ranked higher than 11th in the standings. Brass and percussion scores are under-rated and are likely taking a hit due to the judges' overall impression of the design of the show. The ending of the show is killing them, in my opinion.
  15. C'mon Madison. Show them who's boss in Atlanta. Your show is amazing. Your soloists are incredible. And you are the most entertaining of all of the corps. And by the way...you all should have been at the Nashville show...that G7 bull makes me sick. The corps in Alabama tonight were made to feel like they were the "leftover" corps. Not fair to any of them.
  16. Love this show, also. For all the negativity on this forum, I think the Scouts will surprise everyone with a very strong finish this year. I saw them live recently, and you cannot appreciate the show until you have seen them in-person. They are really moving out there...and are playing extremely difficult time signatures, as mentioned above. It is highly energetic and entertaining. I think the judges are finally starting to realize the complexity of their drill and music and giving them credit where credit is due. And as usual...the crowd eats them up. At least they did at the show where I saw them live.
