I still think this is BD's year but I think it'll be close. I don't think this will be a three way battle though. Probably just going to be between BD and Cadets

Cadets had nothing broken. Except possibly the minds of their designers. Hopefully they remember to tighten the screws in their heads by the time finals comes around. They screws seem to loosen up as the season goes on.

Let's not get carried away here. I think everyone can agree this will be a good show. But one of the best? We'll see.

Wow. This may actually overtake 2007 as my favorite Carolina Crown show. I really like how the show seems a bit slower this year. It's a pretty nice juxtaposition with the Cadets show.

Disappointed the video is already down. Was gonna listen to it during lunch break. Oh well

Personally I'm not really looking for Crown to do anything new. I'm very ready to just hear that hornline take on and polish classical music.

Just logged into fan network and noticed something... On the top left, there used to be something that said something along the lines of "get a subscription for as low as $39.00" and that's gone now. Have no idea what that could mean but just thought I'd point it out.

It was further commentary on what was being discussed. Someone mentioned Brasso's postings, I posted in agreement. If you think I said it in order to "pump my tires," good for you. While we're still taking issue with the smallest things, I have an issue with the fact that you're attempting to stifle any conversation about the G7 (that was sarcasm, but hopefully it gets my point across).

You know I don't ever just throw things out without explaining it. A simple "why so?" would have worked fine, Xandandl. The reason why I say that the Cadets 2015 show would not exist in the tick system is because it rewards corps that make little to no mistakes. A judge sees a mistake and automatically points will be taken off for each mistake they see. The Cadets are known for their challenging and demanding shows, and the Power of X has given us every indication to believe that it will be one of the hardest shows the Cadets have taken on in a while. Their mello book is being called the hardest book since Star 1991! So, what we're getting is a show that has a much higher likeliness of having mistakes than a show designed by the Blue Devils. I highly doubt BAC would've even been in the top 12 last year if the tick system was still in place. My point is, the tick system stifles innovation and creativity. People point to how corps don't take risks anymore and to a certain extent that may be true. I think that can be attributed to GE more than anything. The current system does, however, still embrace creativity while the tick system punishes it.

So excited to hear the show music. I still remember how disappointed people were listening to Phantom last year when they performed this concert and look how their end product turned out.

So what you're asking for is the tick system. You could've easily just said that in a couple sentences without convoluting it as much as possible. Thank goodness we don't use the tick system anymore. I don't think we'd be getting "Power of X" from the Cadets this year if the tick system was still used.

Wow I completely forgot about them! Maybe corps decided they weren't worth the money? They seemed pretty useful for cleaning drill and getting cool footage to put on social media

Going back to this poll for a second, I'm a little surprised by some of the results: - BD having the largest number of votes is I think my biggest surprise. There seems to be a pretty broad sentiment (again, I'm not saying everyone is like this) that BD's new direction is not very entertaining, especially among the older crowd. This sentiment is especially prominent on social media websites where all the teens think Crown and Bloo are the best corps and the Blue Devils "don't do anything hard." It's nice to see that people are actually excited for their shows. - unsurprisingly, Cadets, Bloo, and Crown have almost as many votes as BD. I don't think Cadets would get nearly as many votes had it not been the fact that this is DCP + Hopkins has been showing us some pretty stellar stuff that's gotten the hype up for the show. - I would have expected to see a lot more votes for Cavies. They don't usually put out shows that I enjoy because they focus (or used to focus) heavily on the visual side. They had a nice shift last season to a more balanced approach between music and visual and their brass is sounding good so far from the clips I've heard. This theme could be fun too so I think I'm definitely eager to see how this show turns out. - I like the support BAC got for their 75th. Their source music is really exciting but apart from that, I haven't heard anything from them. - PR got the least support out of the top 7 corps, and understandably so. Musically, they have been a little lackluster in terms of arrangements. Thematically, they've been stuck in a rut. And their percussion needs some work. Their brass really stuck out last season at finals and they were probably the most improved corps of the top 12 from the beginning to the end of the seasons. I'm optimistic that they can start turning things around and get back to the great shows of the first decade of the 21st century.

Sometimes perception is reality. But I don't doubt that the G7 is still a very small percentage of what you post.

I have no issue with BRASSO ranting on about the G7, incessantly or not. He's free to do as he pleases. I'm just pointing out that him posting about the G7 is a noticeable pattern.

I think its pretty obvious what Kamarag means but Corpsband did a pretty good job of explaining it and showing some proof. I didn't really need to see that though as I've noticed in the time I've been on DCP that BRASSO does like to talk about the G7 and judging.

??? What gave you the idea that I go around sticking my middle finger out to people instead of simply disagreeing. I think my posts attest to the fact that I make sure to elaborate whenever I disagree/don't approve of something and rarely if ever resort to personal attacks. I am, however, not opposed to BAC sticking out their metaphorical middle finger in the form of a DCI show. It was nice to see a public voice of dissent on the whole G7 issue from a corps that consistently reaches Finals.

I said that they weren't making fun of the G7 and DCI. I never said the show was meant to be respectful, just that the show was completely serious and they weren't doing any "haha you guys suck!" kind of teasing. Again I think TheShadeOfNight and I are arguing more over semantics than anything.
