Blue Stars 2004 As I am a huge anime fan and they were the only corps to play an all anime repertoire seeing that show live would have been amazing.

How bout like a corps literally grows tress on the field. Maybe in 2026 when SCV redoes Force of Nature we will have advanced growing technology so we can grow tress in 10 minutes on turf.

What my friends says is we have no stake in the corps. The corps have no real reason to show us stuff. I disagree with this and some of his idea's are flawed, but it is an interesting topic.

Yes I realized this. My corps director was saying that he didn't get why this was happening we never had this problem before.

I got the point, but I did get a little off track. He is in Dayton right now doing to the broadcast for WGI, i'll bring this up with him when he is done.

While I consider myself of those who "want to know", boycotting a show because a corps won't announce their show is kinda a tool move. My friend told me that the fans are DCI's customers, which is true but also untrue. Corps that will host shows make a profit off of those, and without the funds (fans) of those shows, the corps will be in deep doodoo real fast. I do like though what 777hornman said though, the corps should respect us, we go to the shows, cheer them on, buy merch and even sometimes donate to them. To say that the fans play no part in the drum corps world is just pure bogus.

He was my caption head last year. He currently works for FloMarching, the company that did the show Livestreams for BOA and WGI. He told it to me that drum corps are run like businesses (which is true and I agree with) and that they aren't selling to the fans, they are selling to the potential members. The fans will find it out when the show is first preformed. When I stated to him that not announcing the shows might put on a bad reputation for the corps, he stated that it would only put on the bad reputation toward people who "want to know" who he again states that they are not the customers of the corps

Someone tried to argue with me that the corps really don't cater to the fans, they cater towards potential members, not the fans. Corps have no reason to announce shows because its all people who just want to know, who they don't need to serve.

Seeing the 2017 show list pinned is almost like seeing my room cleaned up, its great to look at.

Yeah I've though of that myself, doesn't fit the present day BD style.

I'd love for Blue Knights to play Tritico again. Also for the Blue Devils to play Legend of the One Eyed Sailor

Competitive success is not the only thing that determines if a corps will go world, money is a huge factor in it. I think part of the reason Genesis went world was because they knew they weren't going to beat BDB or SCVC for a long time, so the figured they might as well go world class now.
