First time seeing this BD show up closer than a YouTube video. Honestly wouldn't have been able to tell you it was BD based on all the colors in the uniform. Kinda like it, though.
However, I also agree with this. The few bars before the slow down/decrescendo were a perfect spot to add something like signifying the descent a bit more. It just needs a bit of fine tuning to flow a bit better.
I agree with this. It doesn't flow right now and I hate the sit down spin thing before that big hit. That was probably my favorite part of the show and now it's lost a bit of impact.
Fair. Although just checked, and last Sunday, Crown was 0.4 behind Cadets in percussion. With Bluecoats in Lisle, Ill. as well. So maybe not as impressive? Haha.
Another impressive percussion score for Crown. Just 0.3 behind Cadets. And again, another show without brass and guard judges. Encouraging for Crown for sure.
I think up to the ballad is sensational. The closer up to the Ode to Joy section is great. I appreciate them using more of No. 9 than just OtJ. The ballad I'm unsure of and OtJ to the end is obviously still a work in progress. Like DrumManTx said, I this is a better vehicle to really up the wow factor as the season progresses. Excited to see how it looks by August.
Carolina Crown just posted Tom Aungst as Percussion Caption Head in 2015.
