  1. Not sure that it means anything. Lentz was judging in SA. There was some controversy with some of his assessments. Now he's not judging and has supposedly recently helped at Cadets.
  2. So a one year wait is not a requirement? Or was that an assumption on someone's part? It seems reasonable, but may not be applicable. I am editing as a read back on other posts. versus the above is the waiting period for going back to judging. That makes less sense as the former could be viewed as a conflict of interest of sorts. The latter would not be.
  3. Yeah but Lentz was supposed to still be judging. I could be wrong but I thought I saw his name on a slate for a show this week. I thought I read it had to be one year after judging before you could help. That would seem appropriate. I mean judge a corps and their competition one week and consult with them the next?
  4. I checked in to see how the Cadet thread was in light of the recent shows and their improvement and wow. Tense to say the least.
  5. How is it Michael Lentz is available to help? Was he not recently judging and was the judge in the midst of the CG caption uproar (seems like it was an uproar) in SA? Was he not supposed to judge Allentown? If he is available to teach or consult a corps he recently judged, is it because he was removed from judging? Is the 1 year rull not applicable if that were the case? Anyone know the poop?
  6. You are so right. There are so many things that get done that go unnoticed, but are equally as important as anything else in the daily successes of a drum corps. And for so many years Boston had to be so self sufficient, so self reliant, the appreciation for the road assistance during the season seems inadequate. So thank you to all the Crusaders helpers along the tour, it takes all of these kindnesses and your generosity to make this all work and for this year to be as wildly successful as it is. And most of all these kids who work so hard for our enjoyment and legacies are very appreciative as well. It shows in every performance.
  7. Boston in Lawrence was spectacular last night and all the hometown fans who have not seen them live before last night were blown away. Even fans who had seen them last in Everett, were astounded at how much better that have become. The growth of the show has been tremendous. Good, smart decisions continue to be made as this show develops. Now they are into the final stretch of the season with three shows left before Indy. One of these shows will be the proof of the pudding; Allentown. Saturday night Cadets, Boston and Cavaliers are all on one after another. Boston has rehearsal in Lawrence all day today, then they visit the corps roots tonight in Hyde Park. Where it all began. Tonight is history night. Some MM's have heard some of this before, new MM's get to learn about Boston through the years, culminating in THIER Boston Crusaders. This is their corps now. They are making their own history and is has been exciting to watch it all unfold. I don't care what any outsider says about any of us hyping this corps. This year, especially this year it is deserved. The organization stepped up with a focus and determination that Boston, a founding member of DCI, deserves to be in the elite echelon of DCI. If no one minds, on behalf of all alumni, fans and friends of BAC, thank you to the BOD, the leadership, instructional staff, show designers, techs, volunteers, and the many many people who have put this program on the road. Thank you seems to not be enough. This has been along time coming and there is still much to do. This is the first step in a long range plan. To the MM's; I don't know if you will ever see this note but thank you for all your hard work, your focus your skill and talent. You are an amazing group of Giants. We wish you all the very best in the coming days. Your hard work these many months is paying off and there are still more dividends to come no doubt. You are the story of DCI this year. You are everything we alumni, fans and friends have been hoping for, for such a long time and we are all very proud of you. Keep pushing these last few days and finish off the best summer we hope you have ever had. Eat em up Boston. Now Allentown, then Indy must Burn.
  8. What??? new drill??? Are you letting a cat out of a bag? Just kidding. Glad you go tot spend time with this group. With what little time I have experienced directly with any of these folks, I can't say enough of how nice they all are.
  9. Keep it going tonight Boston. You are phenomenal this year. We are all so proud of you and everything you Giants have accomplished. Eat em up Boston.
  10. I think there will be a little something extra tonight in Lawrence for Boston. I also think that is true when any corps comes "home". It's not just another town at all.
  11. Glad you liked them. Too bad you won't be in Lawrence tomorrow.
  12. In 10 days the season will be over. Can you believe it? All the off season talk, consternation, hype, truths, rumors, accusations, compliments, corps moves, staff moves, departures, rejoins and so on and so forth that we experienced last year, will start anew. But when do the corps begin to plan for next year? Have they started? Are there staff searches going on? Allentown last year it seems was where many rumors (and changes?) began. But when do orgs start planning? When do staffs that are staying, start planning next years show? What from this year has inspired them? What do's and don't have been learned? If you were running the org, what would you do, what would you change, what would you improve on? I am curious what ideas there are.
  13. No it really doesn't matter; and believe me there is no small amount of posters here who will tell you over and over again, score comparisons such as that mean nothing. At this point of the season especially, head to head competition is the truer measure. We will know more tonight and again on Saturday in Allentown when Cadets, Cavies and Boston are all together and go on one after another.
  14. Well Cadets received a higher point assessment than Boston has as yet. But without Boston being in the show, one really can't claim they jumped over them. As much as "you can't compare scores from different shows", neither can you claim someone has passed someone else who wasn't at the same show. In fact Boston wasn't in a show last night. We'll know better tonight.
  15. There is little doubt you will enjoy the singing as Boston has done it. It is how you hope singing would be integrated in a production. Emphasis on integration. You may have a burning desire for more.
  16. No need to cry. He only said "put a sock in it".
  17. Just looked through it. Couldn't find anything about ta clinic. Saw plenty of info for the show, nothing about a clinic. How about a little hint?
