Grenadiers just got stuck on two 79's now. Actually they dropped 2 tenths...Hmmm, I think someone is getting slotted... -
Yamaha supports Mini Corps
TenorsForWorldDomination replied to TomPeashey's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
Yamaha is a fine organization. No wonder so many corps march Yamaha brass & percussion. -
They are #### good all across the board. They should be scoring a lot higher and should be ahead of more percussion sections in the standings. I guess with the scores in Norwich they must have had an off night. Guarantee they will make that HUGE push for prelims, which we were always known to do. Who else constantly jumps 3 to 5 points from the last regular season show to prelims? Or jumps up 2 spots in the rankings?

4.5 point jump for Grenadiers! GREAT JOB!!! Currently scoring in 13th if A Class were still allowed to jump up. 3.875 over Crusaders is definitely something to be proud of. At this rate, Grenadiers could manage to capture the highest A Class score to date. 83.988 set by The Sunrisers in 2007 is the highest A Class finals score to date.

I still stick by Grenadiers on top despite Gold's higher score. They really aren't sitting in 1st place, no one is really. Those scores were from two different shows which don't compare at all. Only prelims and finals will settle the score on who comes out tops.

~Burning Question~

Heh...not this one! -
The year an a class corps could contend with the "big boys" in open class is the year the rules are changed. YES, I am aware it is the corps that make the rule changes.

DCA TV spot now online
TenorsForWorldDomination replied to Glen's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
...exactly my point. You do realize that commercial could have been done in Windows Movie Maker given you had the same high res images, video and a brain? Also, just a suggestion, you might want to de-interlace the video. There are some major interlacing artifacts in the videos portion of the commercial. -

Definite bias, but everyone else will disagree I'm sure. -

No A Class corps, same corps over and over again. Don't like it. Sorry, but that is my opinion. No, I'm not asking for Grenadiers specifically to get a spot, but some recognition of A Class would have been nice. -
All Time Top 10

From the pressbox also has it at a 79. Weird, I can't quite remember which one is accurate, but by pure speculation I would assume the 79 is. They got a 80 the previous night in prelims. I can't see them dropping 5 whole points the next night. -

Wouldn't Grenadiers 2004 A Class title put them in 8th place with a 79.850? They also took every single caption that year too. -
Severe Storms Hit Indiana
TenorsForWorldDomination replied to AlexL's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
WOW that storm has a nasty signature on radar. It definitely does display that "bow echo" with storm rotation and potential tornado activity. I'm glad everyone is okay, but its never good to lose any equipment, props, or tables for setup, etc... -
When you look at the Scores/Stats page for DCA A Class, it shows Alliance as Class A. I was under the impression they are Open Class for 2009. Am I right or wrong?

I thought that post was hilarious, definitely in your fashion! ;) Thank you for the congrats! There will be a time when that name might apply, but patience ya comedian, only time will tell She is going to be a drummer, but mom says otherwise! ;) Ya know...let the child choose what she wants to do. I've already picked out a drum set. Am I thinking too far ahead? ;) LOL

I was away enjoying the weekend at my cottage with the girlfriend. We are 7 weeks away from being first time parents, so its time to get in some R&R before that becomes obsolete. I probably won't be out to see any DCA shows this year, I didn't get my Canadian Passport this winter like I should have, but I didn't plan on travel. It is high up on my agenda for this fall.
