  1. Thoughts that have crossed my mind since yesterday: 1) Is it any wonder why Bluecoats haven’t announced their show until the last minute until this year? 2) Perhaps some of our esteemed posters would have preferred that Bluecoats, like a few of its peers, stayed home this year rather than inflict the Beatles on the assembled at Indy this year
  2. It is a whole new show with a whole new rep. and a whole new visual program. So I guess it is something new.
  3. Not according to this article: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluecoats_Drum_and_Bugle_Corps But from what I understand, the whole show is new.
  4. Lucy! I’m home! https://bluecoats.com/ Intermission is over! Yes, more Beatles, please
  5. At least one DCP personality can be found at one of several local taverns ( Tavern on South, Whistlestop, Claddagh, etc.) during lunches. No fee required.
  6. # 17. Which drum corps is the best in the world? Answer: (Hint: It doesn’t hail from California)
  7. I know our records are kept by our hospital system. Good thing, too. Between jabs I kept both Hope’s and my cards to keep them safe. Afterwards, I kept mine and Hope kept hers. I will bet you a dinner at St. Elmo’s, Hope has no idea where hers is now.
  8. I get that concern. To be honest, I am ok with the honor system without vaccination passports. Now what state and local authorities determine is another matter.
  9. I’m not sure why we need to relitigate the past (unless its 1979 Prelims, but that is a different thread). Personally I would like to celebrate this genuinely good news and its impact on the upcoming celebration tour.
  10. I was able to turn off the auto shutoff permanently in my settings menu. No need to hit the button ever again for me! (It took me a while to find the setting, but the time investment was worth it.)
  11. CDC says fully vaccinated Americans no longer need masks indoors or outdoors in most cases https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/05/13/cdc-says-fully-vaccinated-americans-no-longer-need-masks-indoors-or-outdoors-most-cases/%3FoutputType%3Damp
  12. I am with you. After only putting a few thousand miles on my car last year, my 2019 Volvo has very low miles. It is like new.
  13. Oh wow! No not like that. My wheels would simply lock-up and the car wash’s rollers would keep riding under my wheels. To solve the problem, I turn off the automatic engine shut off which I can with my Volvo. It did take me a few times with this happening for me to figure it out.
  14. I also have a Volvo, and turn it off because it also activates the brakes. This becomes a problem in car washes.
  15. I believe the demand to travel will increase significantly but will the supply of gas be there to meet it? I dunno. If the supply isn’t there, the price of gas will increase. Yes the Fed could raise interest rates to cool the velocity of money and thus ease inflationary pressure but that means the price of borrowing will go up which will ripple through all sectors of the economy including the stock and bonds markets That's my half sober, unencumbered by the thought process, shoot from the Lazy Boy layman's hip analysis and I’m sticking to it, at least until I’m totally sober, and shown the error of my ways (which I concede is likely).
  16. Not necessarily. I have had three different cars since 2016. All of them had the automatic engine shut-off at red lights, stop and go traffic, car washes, etc. All of them have been 100% gasoline engines.
  17. The good news is that the summer mix gets better mileage.
  18. The current situation with the Colonial Pipeline shutdown is immediately impacting gas availability in the southeast and mid-Atlantic. That should certainly resolve itself by July, but gas prices were already creeping upward. It looks like with increased demand this summer combined with the underlying inflationary pressure that is emerging will have a negative impact on everyone’s travel plans.
  19. You’re fine. Just don’t touch his monkey, no matter how much he wants you to.
