  1. sounds like tonights outcome could be result of the caption battle. Sounds from reviews that some were hot others were not. No clear cut "hit you over the head" wow thats it conclusion. Thats a good thing dont you think????
  2. hey Brent Turner and Kevin... thank for the coverage,,, soooooo cool at home , DeeDee
  3. Alway's like the Muchachoes.... I'd think as many time as we played it in Scouts we would be an odds on favorite.... As far as crowd reaction??? Maybe the 06 Alumni Project!!.... or I drank to much lake Mendota water????????
  4. Fans welcome to stop by????? Only an hour away and have been a Cab fan since my mama took me to Lewisburg 2 weeks before I was born!!!
  5. Madison Camp Randall 2006 with the Alumni project.. the entire crowd was on our side and went crazy! Allentown... Always a packed house full of appriciation for good drum corps. Birmingham.. Legion Field always felt close to the crowd. Whitewater.. because it's Whitewater!
  6. 1992... the drill, that drum line and the melodies of the music choices... I listen and watch over and over, it never gets old. Their best by a long shot!
  7. No order just ten picks.... Santa Clara- Send in the Clowns, Madison Scouts - Ice Castles 27th Lancers - Danny Boy Phantom Regiment - Elsa's Procession Cavaliers - Softly As I leave You Spirit of Atlanta - Let it be Me Santa Clara - Music of the Night Star of Indiana - Roman Images show. Madison Scouts - Malaguena Cadets - Millenium 2000
  8. Wasn't going to march age out year. Scott Stewart called and said you did 78-79. You have one more chance to be a Madison Scout. That was two weeks into the 1981 season when two guard members quit. My friend Greg and I were on the next train to Wisconsin. Had one of my best performances at Montreal. Little did I know that 25 years later that chance would come around again. The Madison Scout Alumni Reunion Project. What a blast!
  9. Great news: I ask the kids in all the bands that I design for to just give a buck and it will add up quick. I got a few checks from corps friends in Iowa, Atlanta, Reading and Mechanicsburg, Plus the band dollars. Up over $1000.oo so far. I just learned that the Danville Middle school will take 8 month to clean and they lost all percussion equipment and music stands. Yes the Bloomsburg fair in done for 2011... What amazing about this is, at one of the camps a clarinet player told me their family makes 150K selling french fries at the fair. That is their income plus one firemens carnival that they visit. This flood will hurt the town for sure. KUDO's to all the Scout alumni that have mailed me already!!!! We never walk alone!! Duane
  10. As many of you may have seen on the news last week, Central PA was swallowed by the Susquehanna River. Two of the towns/schools where I design band shows were hit extreamly hard. Bloomsburg and Danville had water at record levels that surpassed the famous Hurricane Agnus of 72. After sending out an E Mail to my address book and other bands that I work with asking for help, I was quite surprised that the second e mail was from the Cadets! Sean King through George Hopkins offered connections, equipment and any help that was needed. Also my former corps director Scott Stewart of the Kilts (former Scouts) offered help in the way of equipment if needed. Just wanted to put a good shout out to these organization and a big THANK YOU! Duane DeWire at DeWire Design!
  11. Must be the water in all those lakes in Minnesota! Is this the first time Class A and Open came from same state??
  12. Back on the first page of this topic... it says about Zingali not being able to tie Bobby Hoffmans shoes... why would he? I don't think Hoffman could fit into his shoes... Bobby was good. I knew him, competed with him in corps and band season but the Z man was one of the three designers that turned drill art into what we still see today... those being Brazale at Phantom, Brubaker at Cavaliers and Zingali at Cadets through Star.
