Crown to me is intensity and emotion Bloo is groove and grace Cadets are intense but nothing else to pull the audience in Not sure how to describe BD yet

The big Cadets glissando at the end of the opener is so distracting and out of place to me. Maybe it's because I was sitting right in front of them in Lakeland, but that's all I hear now.

Great job tonight Crown! Won brass, 2nd in percussion! Feeling very good about the rest of the season.

SCV is pure class this year. So good.

People forget how much BD evolve and add to their shows towards the end. Ink was flat for me until Indi, and the last minute additions brought it all together for me and made it one of my favorite BD programs ever.

Yeah, it wasn't in until ~Atl last year. I'm betting on the cowboy hat -> crown or crown -> cowboy hat like 2014's ufo.

Oh man, tomorrow night with BD and SCV in the mix is going to be CRAZY.

Crazy excited for tonight. Really can't wait to see where Crown falls after having a few weeks on their own and a few days of serious rehearsal.

I think it's obvious we don't have the full story yet, and won't really until finals week, similar to all of the additions last year up until the final night. The trend in pop culture has been a trope of vengeance driving a character until the decisive moment then having them realize that it won't bring back what they lost (The Revenant and Captain America had characters based on this) and I could see Crown doing something similar.

Guard has great design this year and integrate well with the show but they've been having major execution issues they have to clean up.

I'm just speaking to the headroom I see in each program, not predicting how things will end up. Obviously Bloo's programs have been hitting a sweet spot the past two years, but I want them to push harder. Likewise, Cadets had more demand last year but couldn't clean enough and get GE up to compete, which could be their big issue again this year.

They're beating Cadets in music because Cadets have a LOT to clean, but a serious jump in demand. Hence the comments on Bloo's demand being a step down from other medal contenders. Like people have said from opening night, their biggest threat is peaking too early.

Scores line up pretty much where I would have them. Crossmem definitely earning their scores, exciting season for them.

We're talking about and comparing the top tier of the elite, where a slight difference can the difference in medals and 5th. No one is calling anything they do easy.

Oh they have plenty of visual demand, I'm talking about music and the rest. Also, their guard is hurting their chances at visual caption.

Bloo is riding a lot on show design and GE. They are definitely behind the top groups in brass and guard, and overall feels lacking in demand compared to Crown/BD/Cadets. They need to put in a bit more and amp up the intensity. Biggest issue for me tonight was blending electronics with ensemble, as the speakers overpower a lot and make the brass sound smaller at points. That said, their show is just so #### cool and it's tied for my favorite of the year wth Crown. I would love to see them get gold with it but I think they have a lot more than just cleaning to do.

Crazy aggressive show. If they clean a lot they'll be dangerous. Lost some steam and got sloppy in the closer, but the demand is off the charts there.

Cadets are contenders for more captions than Bloo this year IMO. Super talented kids. Can't count them out of medals yet.

Crossmem look super sharp. Tons of great impacts and moments throughout. Finals level stuff.

I like the windmills use and design until their placement in the closer, then they just dominate the line of site from the bleachers.
