  1. I personally thought that was Crossmen last season (which I honestly didn't enjoy)... I didn't think I'd like this show, but I really do.
  2. lol, yes... they're all using 18'' (maybe 16'', but I don't thing so) this year. In past years they used different heights for each member depending on their height.
  3. I understand that they work if the sun is right. Also, I really don't remember to look for the lights because I'm distracted from good drum corps.
  4. shadows are suppose to show in front of the boxes from color guard members dancing inside with colored lights.
  5. Excited to see how the Colts do after a rehearsal day! I heard there was major visual cleaning!
  6. Forgive me for not being supersized that a Crossmen parent and Spirit supporter doesn't think that the Colts have what it takes to get into finals...
  7. I 100% agree, I think they've spent a lot of effort trying to make the boxes work. I think they'll drop them if they don't improve soon.
  8. I guess the next show will tell if jumps were true or not
  9. *waits for scores with the Game of Thrones credit music is playing in the background.
  10. I apologize for adding to the aggressive reputation of DCP. I am an alum and obviously realize the reputation of the corps, especially to the DCP masses. Thanks for the reply.
  11. I love hearing your support for the corps Pit Dad, but I was hoping to spark a few new posts from not-so-usual fans.
  12. I'm sorry, are the Colts chopped liver? .3 behind Troop last night and beating them in music? Also a contender for finals the previous two seasons. Yes Academy has greatly improved and they are quiet possibly a contender, but until they move west, scores are not the most comparable.
  13. Any thoughts from anyone who was at Whitewater?
  14. Really didn't like their show last year, but this is a step in the right direction. Like most, I was concerned with show announcements, posters, etc, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw last night. I'm not sure where this show will end up, but I think it's a step in the right direction.
  15. I was overall very happy with the Cadets show last night. Yes there was dirt, but I think that shows had the toughest visual demand out of any show last night. Again, the judges chose to reward clean with lower demand than dirt and high demand. Usually I'm not a Cadets fan, but I think they get the shaft because they aren't perfect even though their show is the hardest out there. Yes they need to make some major changes, and no I didn't like the wedding cake... But I thought Crown fell flat and Cadets deserved to take second last night.
  16. Overall, I respect Bloo's choice of uniforms. I'm not sure I like the pants though. Either the fit or material doesn't look right.. and they are wearing belts. I think the uniforms run the incredible risk of looking cheap. If the material ages well and doesn't show wear and tear, they'll be ok.
  17. I attended in the Madison, WI location. The theater was about 60%-70% full, which I was happy with. Overall, the sound and video qualify was good. I thought the pit and electronics for Boston were especially loud, but I wasn't overly fond of the show, so I guess I'm a bit biased. I am so happy that this theater option exists for those of us to can't make some of these bigger events in person. I'm willing to suffer a few sound or graphic issues for a taste of a great start to the season. Overall, the crowd loved Cavies, Cadets, and Bloo. Everyone, including myself, seemed underwhelmed and disappointed with Crowns show. Honestly, I thought the brass book is flat compared to recent years...
