  1. Update: Estimated Worth $11,964.70 USD The worth of DCP.com grew by over $600 in just over a month. WOOOHOO!!!!
  2. Are you volunteering? BTW, secretary is so un-PC...it's now executive assistant.
  3. Ignorance of the law has never been a valid excuse.
  4. And because the corps directors are the member of board ("DCI") each will do what is best for themselves and propose ideas that will reflect that. That is why since it's inception there has always been a charge of conflict of interest from many people (including Bill Cook).
  5. Dale, remember who has been bringing the amplification proposal to the table and how he has written them. That alone should be self-explained.
  6. Here's a website where you can download all of Ein Heldenleben for free. (Ein Heldenleben is one of PR's music selection). The conductor of the orchestra that performed the work has made it available. Go at it all.
  7. You can always come to www.mingus.us/inmotio. This is were the CE was "moved to". Danielle failed to mention that. (bad moderator...very bad moderator :p)
  8. For the early show, content should also be considered for how much of the drill is learned. Therefore say Cavies have 75% of thier show done for the first show while, say, Glassmen have learned it all, then Cavies score should reflect this. So unless Glassmen really dropped the ball in their show they should beat Cavies, strictly on content.
  9. SO the title of thier show is "No Narration".
  10. Well FDCI was written in PERL for unix. Dr. Jeff B did put a lot of work in the programming of the system. I have all the code. DCP-I isn't running on unix (or written in PERL) so the programming doesn't carry over, that's why there are some minor problems that come up. I give a lot of credit for John for finding the right person to help in the programming. DCPI has come a long way since the intial spreadsheet.
  11. Agreed. Considering the amount of abuse that corps equipment go through and the complexity of the electronics either a corps would need to have an electrical engineer/technician oncall or need extra electronic drums incase any go out.
  12. Do you have the numbers for just those that competed in the US in both 1988 and 2008?
  13. As tasty a pie chart is (I prefer cherry pie myself), a bar graph comparing 1988 vs. 2008 would would give a better indicator of the letter distribution.
  14. Mike, you know you need to make a meaningless graph to prove your point (Excel is your friend....abuse him). You also need to count The as part of the corps' name. So all those "C"s are now "T"s
  15. I don't know. That chin strap being offcenter makes it look bad ( ).
  16. Basically, on average, what is the cost at a fueling station?
  17. From some initial research at some bus manufactoring websites, the capacities of fuel tanks can range from 60 to 250 gallons depending on the model. So you'll need to know what each corps is using as a tour bus and how old they are. And as they usually say, "you're milage may vary".
  18. So 1990's horn book with 2000's drill (guard...eh...never really changed). That is something I could really enjoy.
  19. And a day of rest does more for the body than 8 hours of practice. DCI would then be supporting itself and the real meaning of championship week by having members participate.
  20. Agreed. Best of any of the corps. They really deal with tradition and history and make the connection with today. Two thumbs up.
  21. I work at two bingo halls. Yes, we do use Travelers wireless machines. <edited -mn>
