THIS...made me smile lol

OK...I was going to be one of those people who waited till mid July and signed up for a month thru finals.....but after reading all the comments, I have joined for the 2nd half of the show. Should not have gone out for groceries and looked at the forum earlier so I would not have missed the first group of corps!! Thank you everyone :)

It POURED before the Saturday show last August!! Puddles everywhere lol I remember it being very humid and sticky for the show Very HOT after that storm...but eh show must go on and it was a great night!!

I have sideline video of "Autumn Leaves" & "The Boxer" from last night in Pittsburgh...If i can get them posted here today while I am at work.......

As stated, the soloist really did a nice job last night!! I was standing right beside one of Bluecaots brass staff, and he made it a point to clap enthusiastically after said solo (even putting his phone, which he was recording the show with at the time, under his arm to clap emphatically)!! The backfield playing with the mics picking up the sound seemed improved (based on what has been said) and I feel they are close to getting what they designed to happen there. I thought it was really nice, myself!! They are close to getting the balance they are trying to achieve with the sound. Very nice ballad :)

I am leaving work about 3pm and hitting the turnpike for the trip out!! To say I CAN NOT WAIT would be an understatement!! I may miss some of the other corps, as an old friend of mine and Bluecoats alumni, is going with me for their warm up!! If I am fortunate enough to sit inside the horn line....it will be awesome :) (otherwise I would watch all the corps, but I will see them in Allentown) Should be a fantastic night!!

Seriously,,,I CAN NOT stop listening/watching this!!! OMG..so fantastic!! Maybe some of the best 2:00+ minutes of drum corps I have experienced (I am Bloo biased) in the past several years!!! Can't wait to see you Tuesday for Innovations in Brass, Pittsburgh :)

As I sit here this morning (with over 25k views now) putting in my share of them....I keep going back to the last 3 minutes of the show!! I did not realize how cool I personally liked this upon the completion of the premiere night theater broadcast!! That last minute with the 2 trumpets in the front and the low brass trucking down that "jagged line" to the hit at 11:11....AWESOME STUFF!!! I think I'll take the short 3 hour drive to Pittsburgh Tuesday so I can experience this live :)

If this was done on a cell phone...then I want that guy to stream me the rest of the season!! I felt the audio from this video was much better than my theater experience last night!! AND certainly agree on this run being far more "tight", if you will than the LOS run last night!! If I don't make the drive to Pittsburgh Tuesday, then Ill see you in Chester later this season Blooo!! What a show (and I thought last years was the best I had ever experienced) :)

I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! Blooo is really at the pinnacle of what the activity is becoming!! I am sure it will be one of the best years for DCI with new and creative things from the geniuses on each corps design teams!! However with the Bluecoats tour taking them thru the midwest this summer, I am stuck waiting till Chester, Pa to see them live..but trust that I am excited (even if i am wishing away my summer lol) Thanks to all for fueling this DCP rookie thirst for all things Bluecoats 2017!! Enjoy all :)
