  1. I bought mine from Cadets and Cavaliers. Thanks to them.
  2. Next summer, we want to fly to Rapid City, SD, see the Badlands and the Black Hills, go to the Crazy Horse monument, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood…. Then drive to Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone, the Tetons, Glacier NP, then fly home from Billings, MT. I figure that’s probably two weeks. We have to do it before we become too decrepit. 😂
  3. I liked Blue Stars musical book in 2019. The baritone feature was heavenly. Maybe I’m just weird. 😂
  4. I was hardly dumping on Madison. My kid marched under the Madison umbrella for nine seasons. It could go either way for them. In or really close to making the cut. I do agree about Crossmen, though.
  5. I’d put them where Mandarins are, moved them to ninth. Bump out Scouts. No offense to Scouts but that’s a big leap. I anticipate improvement but not quite there yet.
  6. It’s really good but Culver’s is pretty good, too. I’ve never had whataburger. I do have a Culver’s right down the street in Hooterville or else I wouldn’t have moved here.
  7. I did, too because until someone else can prove otherwise…🥇
  8. As long as you have an excellent internet connection and good equipment, your experience on your end will be fine. I had cable in Illinois but now I have fiber. Flo was better than ever for us. Except for that weird music and those loud commercials. Not an equipment issue. 😂 I will never be able to stay awake for the California shows.
  9. Two weeks from today. I’m going to watch at home. My theater experiences have not been positive. I want to go and see Top Gun but I’m sure that the theater patron from hell will plop down next to me.
  10. My kid marched nine seasons. Five in a Div II/III corps. Little chance that happens now. It’s not even that you can’t afford it, I’m not sure I could justify it anymore. His last year in 2007, fees were $1500 plus whatever travel costs were. Which weren’t bad because he was in Champaign/Urbana and the first and last corps were in Madison. Probably the most traveling was Southwind/Kentucky.
  11. The show theme kind of reminds me of 2005 Southwind. “A Distorted Imagination”. I really liked that show so if it’s anything like that, I’m sold.
  12. I use GasBuddy, too. I’m coming from the west coast so I’m trying to avoid I-4. 😬
  13. I’m going to try to avoid I-4 but I think I can hit up the Buc-ee’s in Jacksonville. I’ve been to the one in Daytona. That place is a trip. 😂
  14. If I still lived up north, I wouldn’t. Too crowded. But I never have to wait here in Hooterville.
  15. People are going to laugh at me but that’s why we decided to go early and stay in Cincinnati longer. IMO, Cincinnati is a culturally more interesting city than Indianapolis and I figured I may as well spend three days there, too.
  16. We’re driving to Beaufort, SC tomorrow. I estimate it will cost twice as much for gasoline than it would have last year. And I did something I’ve never done before. I was at BJ’s for household supplies and the gasoline is about $.20 less there. Despite having a nearly full tank, after I shopped, I topped off my tank with about 1 1/2 gallons of gas. $6.38. 🤦‍♀️
  17. Understandable. You make a little less than the OTR drivers but your fuel costs are lower. My Dad was an OTR truck driver for his entire adult life until the day he died in his sleep. I can only imagine what he’d be saying now about diesel prices and chuckle.
