All time shows: Seattle Cascades
insideout replied to ThePlanets's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I gotta go with 2002 as well. other favorites: 2015, 2017 least? 2013 as well. Unpopular Opinion: 2016 was just “okay” to me. Loved Intergalactic more, tbh- 14 replies

How did the Blue Stars, BD, and Cavies portions look? Blue stars suffered the worst. Im on the fence about buying it.

2018 DCI tight grouping predictions
insideout replied to Dchristian125's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I agree: Music City vs Genesis If both keep the upward swing they will place above Cascades and Jersey Surf. Don’t count the Cascades out, though!! ;)- 38 replies

DCI Uniforms from 2018 and beyond
insideout replied to Dchristian125's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
It is also my understanding that the new “costumes” as you call it are possibly less expensive than traditional uniforms? I thought I read that somewhere... could be wrong.- 23 replies

2017 Seattle Cascades
insideout replied to A Generic Percussionist's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I wonder if they got the rights to it. They have had Intergalatic, but not O. LOL that screenshot, that’s my kid second to the left. I literally cried when I saw that live. He never smiled like that before. -
Seattle Cascades had 19 age outs.

Thought I would start up this thread. 2018 already!! Here is a link to the audition page for the 2018 Seattle Cascades in case anyone is interested: http://www.seattlecascades.org/join2018

Death to the Seat Poachers
insideout replied to cowtown's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I guess it depends on the kids or the direction they are given. For example, my kid is in the Cascades and they sat in the endzone as they were pointed in that direction. No poaching at all. -
Who will be the darlings next year?
insideout replied to luv4corps's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
BK. Definitely had an outstanding show this year, they are on the up and up. Ill go as far as saying I actually think a bold prediction would be the Troopers or Colts nipping at the heels of those above them. Would be juicy. And you betcha Cascades will be working hard again this upcoming year! -
They had quite a few people from other corps (mellophones) who moved over there. 2 Phantom Regiment members comes to mind.

2017 Seattle Cascades

Oh they know. That was tough as well, while they were glad to see that, it sucked because they didn't make semi's and will not make the CD, but they are still proud of the hard work they put in. -

That was what my son said to me, so many people loved the show and it meant a lot to them. Was just a hard pill to swallow. Here's to 2018 (eek!), though! -

I just fail to see how Spartans were any better than the Cascades. But then again, what do I know? That fraction of a point is all it took to just hurt the corp. devastating isn't the word. -

You took the words out of my mouth. I truly thought this was their best show. Words fail to express how I feel but man. How my kid feels...going to be tough. Rookie year, he still has 4 years of DCI left, so... -

I keep wondering why it is so underscored. So many people have said how much they love the show. It isn't clean, but it is scored so low I do not understand it. -

Everyone is hard at work. I hope that after last week's events that morale is stronger for them. Been a tough road but I am so proud of how hard they have worked. They have faced a LOT of adversity this season...from injuries to heat exhaustion to a bus break that caused them to withdraw from the Rome show...let's show some love for the Cascades! -
If open class can kick out a world class corp, Pioneer and Jersey Surf are done and Cascades are on the brink of elimination. Legends and Spartans have pulled ahead and knocked them to 25th in both classes combined. In world class, Pio is 23, Jersey Surf 22, and Cascades 21. Legends has even surpassed Genesis at this point.
