Cadets opening set is my guess
-
I have an increasing number on my list. A few had assumed a position or role on DCP without endorsement. Others are oblivious - who I refuse to take notice of or acknowledge intentionally so as to maintain my own self-respect and sanity. The ignore feature is my key to order, sanity and piece of mind.

I'm think you're on to something.

You might want to add CT to your list. -

And now for the rest of the story. JC's wife didn't want him marching with women in the brass line, especially the middle voice section, so he took his horn and went home. Pajama Joe aka. Camel Joe - a baritone - didn't want any women in the corps, let alone the brass section. Joe was never right about anything - EVER. Like so many, it's now all irrelevant. Like so many others Terri, you tarnished a perfectly good junior corps career by joining in the first place. -

There is a book We Winna Be Dauntit! The History of the Racine Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps 1934 - 1992 by George Fennell which explains what happened to the organization and it really had nothing to do with adding women MM’s. Bad financial management, incompetent administration and the ability to adapt to a changing activity were responsible. Appears to still be a problem for the organization. -
The music stands on its own. Unique because I’ve never heard it played by any other corps ever. The brass has a quality that is Similar to Cadets 2015 but with a Crown big full sound. Percussion is off the chain with a lot of ensemble difficulty and the front ensemble is amazing. Really it’s all medal quality. Have to see where it goes from here.

We were there for ensemble. Emotional and powerful. Captures you from the very beginning and keeps coming at you.

Hung out with Brasso and his friend at camp today and the staff has definitely written a book to be considered a medal contender. Strong Boston Strong.

What you want for 2018

Less amplified brass. Turn down the bass synth to 85dB. No singers. Less props. -
singers were awesome

Took care of it - he/she - gone

The majority of brass lines should sound good standing still.

People come and go so fast. Didn’t even leave ashes, just a cloud of smoke. Poof

Shockingly predictable.
