  1. Spent some time out in Williamsburg with Cadets. Nice to talk with Scott and very happy to say hello to Matt. The corps is in excellent hands.
  2. Their first performance of the season. First on at a DCI show too. From spending time with CT over the weekend, they’re the most prepared for a first performance than in any prior season. The corps is more interested in evaluations than any score.
  3. No body is going to beat BD. It’s a battle for second.
  4. There’s so much to love about this BlooJazz Session 44 production. It’s so entertaining. I don’t have to ask why or what they’re trying to do. The crowd digs it and that’s what they pay for - to be entertained I’m still waiting for an answer about Crowns Roach costume and who they’re suppose to be. With Bloo I know exactly what’s happening. Bloo is smooth, hip and cool. CoolBloo is what I call them. Can’t get any better than that.
  5. So you know about the same as me? I’m just trying to understand the basics.
  6. I apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding. Can someone share with me what Crowns show is suppose to be? Beauty and the beast? Besides the show title Beast, what is the significance of the costumes? How does the music selections translate the Beast theme? What are the white props on the field: bones, teeth or claws? What are they used for?
  7. Agree! I was underwhelmed. Expectations are high but I’m not sure they will deliver.
  8. And that wasn’t all that. Nothing special. No WOW moments
  9. It’s not Crown hate. With the exception of a few productions I’ve seen, Crown has been incredible. But I’m not digging this show. There’s really a lot that doesn’t measure up to their productions over previous years. Hey it happens.
  10. I didn’t miss that either. Believe that will be the closest Crown gets to Bloo. I would drop them like its hot.
  11. Bloo, Cavaliers and BAC were my favorites. If I never see the others again this season I won’t feel like I missed anything. I remember when people were criticizing Cadets because their stained glass windows were never integrated into the show. I saw a lot of bones, claws or whatever doing a lot of nothing but taking up a lot of space. It was pretty clear that the people who attended the theater liked Cavies and Bloo, however they were very disappointed with two corps from Illinois and Wisconsin. One guy said out loud after one corps performance; “go home and practice”.
  12. Hoping the Blue Stars are not taken to the woodshed.
  13. C2 is the best I’ve ever seen them this early. Scary to think where this show takes them come Labor Day and a persistent rehearsal schedule. The bar has been set high.
