  1. Money speaks. I 'd bet a hundred dollar bill if you put out a call to recruit a top notch staff a lot of people would step up. I know I would.
  2. It's really not hard to figure out. Look back at shows like 06, 07, 08, 10. Look at staff. There you go.
  3. could not be better put. I long for the days of good drill, great music and the excitement that it generates. Put the WGI people back in the gym where they belong.
  4. the days of holding one's breath are about to suffocate a lot of people.
  5. Let's just face the real problem at hand. Will Pitts is a second wrung, maybe third, writer and he sure as h*ll should not be the person in charge of the show design. His music relies heavily on others prior to him and he has the imagination of a rock. In the situation PR finds itself in, who is keeping him around is the $64,000 question.
  6. UMMMMM i'd argue your point any time you want.
  7. Has anyone watched PR's video titled "Who Is Your Joan?" It is basically Will Pitts explaining his concept of the "bad*ss" woman. Sounds like another PR show telling a story about a woman. Bad*ss huh? Is this Piitts' idea of being edgy and in the now? When are they going to give up the storybook shows about a woman? So tired!
  8. PR seems determined to not invent itself and move on to a more competitve corps. Maybe there will be a surprise in store. Given the design team, i'm not holding my breath though.
  9. I agree wholeheartedly. Pitts writing is too formulaic based on someone's else's writing style of years past. He is not creative at all and his music suffers from lack of creativity and invention. As someone who was in PR when Pitts was said to me, Pitts took himself way to seriously as a coverup. PR needs someone to come in and take over and kick them in the pants creatively.
  10. The days of rehashed shows are done and PR needs to stay away from that trap.
  11. Why won't they move into modern classical music. There is some great modern music to draw from.
  12. I would argue that Pitt's writing has serious shortcomings as well. And he does not need to be program coordinator.
  13. oh well, looks like another boring non-creative show for PR. I wonder if falling out of the top 12 will wake some people up???
  14. Not so sure about design by committee. It's simple, hire someone to design a show who has proven creativity. Pitts definitely does not. IMHO, I don't he is very good at writing music for Drum Corps either. I would bet money that if the corps went after a big name, PR would see people donating money to pay for him/her.
  15. Never let OSHA anywhere near DCI. There needs to be safety factors built into the activity but never governed by that bunch of nut jobs. And I also think tarps should be banned. Most MMs won't be as lucky and have the finesse the kid from Blue Stars had this year. he could have seriously been injured.
