You guys are lucky! We're coming in from Dallas to Katy and then heading to SA. Whee!

Super stoked to see the best of the West as well as some of the beasts in the East. Son's first year in DCI and its a remarkable season so far. He's got a free day in SA on Sunday, so hopefully we can have lunch as his mom and I haven't seen him since late May.

What weaknesses?

Hallelujah! That was an accurate response to an unfounded and uninformed opinion. Perhaps the history lesson was of some benefit. Well stated just the same and agreed...BK is a top 12 team...SCV...well that’s just a monster under the bed which is why he keeps the night light on.

As this is my son's first year in DCI....Yes! We'll be there for semi's and finals. Needless to say we'll be decked out in SCV gear as well. The Rathskeller might be a dinner must for the great German cusine.

Just referring to the "top 3" at the moment as the Blue Devils were going to be there. Add in Boston, the Cavies and Bloo and its an interesting mix and could be a prediction (although limited in scope) of things to come. Things always change in DCI and that's what makes it so exciting. And agreed on St. Louis.

True...but my focus is more on Oklahoma where several HEAVY HITTERS will be in attendance.

Ya think? There are a TON of great performances out there and its going to be tight.

Reviewing those scores on DCI, I couldn't believe how close most of the captions were. Pretty exciting stuff! And the Mandi's are in the Top 10 in July, they have to be inspired and proud of that accomplishment. Stars will work and work now to keep an edge so all of the fans win!

The two of them and BD keep switching places. Bloo has performed more shows than either BD or SCV.

Nice add on the Mandarins. I'd say the pleasant surprise of the season and a very entertaining watch. They emote very well and the connection seems genuine.

You can’t do what SVC does in a traditional corps uniform with a hat and giant plume. There is a reason they have the look like ninjas.That show is ACTIVE. I do wish the pants weren’t so...MC Hammer though. I do like the Troopers and the Madison Scouts. Still trying to decide on Mandarins.

Alright, as a relative newbie to DCI...I had some questions about the scoring. I understand the captions etc, but my question is more of an East vs. Midwest vs. West interrogative. So the Blue Devils, SCV And Mandarins etc have been hitting the highest marks competng out West. Those scores have been in the upper 60s to mid 70’s. Out East, it’s been the Bloo coats, Carolina Crown, Boston Crusaders, Cadets setting the highest scores.. Those score are typically 3-4 pts higher than the West. Bloo popped 80 pts on 6/2/18 In the Midwest the Cavaliers hit a mid 70 score and Phantom Reg was just below that. So are these scores all apples to apples or do we all have to wait for a Regional to get a good benchmark for the top teams and surging competitors?

Chumley is a BD bleeder. Davila? Who knows? Not sure if they had earbuds in while SCV was playing tonight.
