  1. Need a little help here. 75...27th Lancers 77...Bridgemen 84...Garfield 87...SkyRyders 88...Velvet Knights 89...Phantom Regiment 90...Crossmen 90...Blue Devils 95...Madison Scouts 99...Santa Clara Vanguard 00's....?? 00's....??
  2. I have to agree with you there. People always talk about how many corps there used to be and that the area can support that many corps. But how many of those corps were at a national level regardless of division? I think the one thing that helped VK become what it was, was the fact that we were the only DC in So. Cal. & AZ. True AZ corps came and went but nothing was ever solid. We have the potential of having PC, Esp. Impluse, Mystikal, Kingsmen, VK & Academy all looking at the same talent. I hope San Deigo Allience wasn't a sign of things to come.
  3. Oh BTW we forgot that the SCVC have 1 D2 title also.
  4. Mandarins have 8 titles 7 D3 and 1 D2 Esperanza has 1 D2
  5. FYI They showed 74 last year, they won in 72
  6. Anaheim Kingsmen (DCI Champion in 1972) Florida Wave (DCI Class A Champion 1984) Canadian Knights (DCI Class A Champion 1986) Ventures (DCI Class A Champion 1987, 1989 & 1990) Academic Musicale (DCI Division III Champion 1990) Star of Indiana (DCI Division I Champion 1991) Les Etoiles Dorion Vaudreuil (DCI Division II Champion 1996) Patriots (DCI Division II Champion 1999)
  7. I have the same Corps Pak for 92 VK. I don't remember paying that much for an individual corps. Now you can only buy an individual corps performace for either quarters or semis. This vid has all 3, with a high cam to boot.
  8. Once again I will lobby that VK 88 be added to eveyone's list. B)
  9. The rules are a little different this year. (2) 70s (4) 80s (4) 90s and (2) 00s There is another thread already open on this topic.
  10. I would think that every corps bought all and every angle possible for their show that year. If you already have the vids all you have to do is transfer and sync them with the othe angles. I have a 89 top 17 high camera only vid.
  11. From what I here. ALL of those "recordings" belong to Video Express, the company that produced them. I think DCI only had rights to the "broadcast" that was shown on PBS. Thus that's all we get. When the two companies parted ways. It wasn't pretty. They pretty much took their toys and went home.
  12. I hear ya Ryan, but I had to go with one or the other. Next time it's 87 then 90.
  13. You know what goes good with some Bridgemen 77, is a little side helping of VK 88 {HINT, HINT}
  14. Only one (1) appearence per corps. A lot of people are voting for the same corps multiple times, but all that does is cancel each other out. I would think corps with only one choice (Cascades & Dutch Boy) could pool their resources and the themselves in. Remeber VK got in last year with only 300-ish votes (and thats with all of my email addresses). If the average person has 2 email addresses then it only took 150 people to get VK in. All it takes is a little organization. Oh BTW Bridgemen 77 is on my list. Need another 70's though. I was thinking 27 79?
  15. and I do believe it's JUST percussion.
  16. Well this wha I've come up with so far. I am open to suggestions as to what corps I need to add to my list. I need 1 more 70's show and 3 90's and I'm not particular to any 00's show. So lobby away. Free votes to anyone that has a good reason I should vote their way. My list at current: 27th Lancers 75 Bridgemen 77 Garfield 84 SkyRyders 87 Velvet Knights 88 Phantom Regiment 89 Crossmen 90 Blue Devils 90 Madison Scouts 95 Santa Clara Vanguard 99 ?? ??
  17. From the DCI site: Slightly different from 2005, in this round fans will be asked to choose two corps from the 1970s, four corps each from the 1980s and 1990s and two corps from the 2000s. No corps can appear on the countdown more than once during the evening, so as many times as you may vote for your one favorite corps, only the highest vote-getting year of a corps will be shown. Polling for the 2006 DCI Classic Countdown begins Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. Central time, and ends Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at 5 p.m. Central time. How will you be voting??
  18. Hey, I had to march to and from the field just like every one else :P
  19. Don't know but that was one FUN year to march!! B)
  20. Ed you win!!!!!!! The football field rug is electic and when turned on the action figures actually move around (a la electronic footaball games) Would be nice to have a set of Bobble Heads
  21. I was disappointed on how Surf's show was edited. :(
  22. I like that idea. I could get one for doing the 1st Honor Corps after the 89 season when we did the Fiesta Bowl Parade in AZ. Corps size was well over 250.
  23. BTW, anyone on the left coast get theirs yet? I'm really not expecting it until the begging of next week be it will be nice to have a weekend in front of the DVD player.
