  2. his sources are correct.........and undercounted......... Plus a lot of our vets are at school and couldn't make it. However this is by no means an excuse not to come to the next camp! Everyone is still welcome. Come be a part of this!
  3. I think its also because it is the same people posting the same stuff ALL the time. Plus there just isn't a lot to talk about right now.
  4. I use a Warburton 7SV. Best lead mouthpiece I ever used. I tried a monnette, Shilke, Bach, you name it. This one just blew me away and I love it.
  5. It doesn't always have to be about the music. The vets know what we are expecting this year. And without even knowing what music yet officially we know this is gonna be one memorable year. If I have anything to say about it, this season will be one for the ages! Those who know me understand!
  6. Thats it get Wilbur !!! Or Mr. Fallone. We are partying at the post Saturday night with the Canadiens!!! La Duche De Twa!!!!! :lolhit:
  7. MISSION:06 This will be one to remember thats all I really have to say. I was here for the 50th, in Rochester, Now we are going back there for the 60th, Man O Man just the thought of it gets me going. Balls to the wall folks!!!! Trust me this will be good! (And most of you know how I feel about things)
  8. Yes Timmy you taught me proper "Leaning" technique! Just when to put in the right amount of mojo
  9. Thanks to everyone who mentioned my name. All I can say is WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY ?!?!? ME ?!?!?!?!?! Obviously you were not listening! Guy I will see you in 06! By the way I learned everything I know about doin this whole solo thing from the right people and the coolest people in drum corps!!! PPPPPPonzo, Donnie Allen, Timmy Campbell, Greg Deamer, Bruce Ziegler, Steve Raclowski, and of course Curt Hawkins........ These guys made me who I am today. I took a little bit from each and every one of them. 14 years with one corps and a whole bunch of legendary people to gawk after. My thanks goes out to ALL of them!
  10. I don't know if this counts but if anyone uses "Warburton" Mouthpieces (I use one and will never use another mouthpiece) Terry Warburton marched in Blue Rock. I forget what year. But I learned that from Terry himself!
  11. Fried Pickels!!! For those who know Need I explain more ?!?!?!?
  12. Nobody has said anything yet about Lewisburg so I will as a marching member. I don't care who was announcing! But that was the greatest retreat I have ever been a part of!!!!! No unecessary B.S. just hey thanks for coming and here are the scores!!!!! BING, BOOM, DONE, No best left foot second mellophone section leader, no best farm animal imitation by a mallet player just scores and back to the bus to my ice cold beer! LOVE IT
  13. I am a bit dissapointed. I was very pumped up for this and left rather let down. The video where I was in North Brunswick was definately blurry and my eyes were actually bothering me at one point. However the biggest dissapointment was the sound! I was waiting to be blown away by the sound and it seemed as if it was all coming out of the front two speakers. I was waiting and waiting yet nothing! I actually feel the sound out of my DVD's are ten times better. It was still GREAT to see something like this in the theatre and in the future would be nicer to see them go more into the history of the shows. Maybe talk about how they were made or came to life. Heck in the more recent shows maybe even some rehearsal footage. I dunno maybe I am just rambling.....
  14. Best place that can do it I think would be "The music Shop" in Boonton I believe. I know they fixed all of Bush's Contras a couple years ago. They are great people and know G horns.
  15. Jimmy was the drum major, I can tell you who a lot of the soloists were. Do you want names or who was playing what ? most of the solos were handled by the legend himself George Delmonte. (who i have had the pleasure of meeting many many times and everytime I do I am in awe. he was awsome!) Gene Moratta was also a soloist. "SLim" (can't think of his name) hit that double D in Flamenco. Bobby Collins, and of course the closing solos is the one and only Steve Roclowski (sp?? sorry Steve) who is still playing in the alumni corps along with former soloists from that show I believe Fabian Isza, and Duke Terreri (not sure about Duke tho) That 76 show is legendary among current cabs members. Especially sop soloists. It is just an awsome production top to bottom and in my eyes one of the best drum corps shows ever. I remember the day I met George Delmonte. He complimented Gordito and I on our solo's at some random rehearsal in Secaucus. I was like "Thank you sir" not knowing who he was. (Little older little gray int he hair) It wasn't until Louie Storck told me who it was that I was completely floored !! I had marched next to Ponzo, Curt Hawkins, Deamer, Zeigler, and seen and heard countless others including Donnie Allen and to many to name. But every soloist I have met has mentioned that 76 Cabs show to me. And ever since I heard it I loved it !! anything else I can help you with let me know. I have the show memorized ! (PLUS I got to play some of the actual charts with the alumni and sat next to Steve Raclowski to!!!! man that was awsome !!!) p.s. sorry about my spelling
  16. I have 2 G Sopranos in EXCELLANT condition. One Kanstul One Deg. Let me know if you are interested Doublecnwk@optonline.net
  17. Thanks Jeff......Didn't know anyone remembered "Freeball" !!
  18. I know I can only speak for my corps. But our caption head will not even let us think about "screaming" some notes until he is comfortable that we have the book down. His theory is "what good is a screaming hi note if you don't play everything leading up to it." And unless your group has the luxury of someone who can lay out for 8 measures at a time (which is a rare luxury) then play what is written. Save the fun stuff for later....
  19. Trust me I won't let the Great Gordinis head get to big !! -
  20. Ever get the "Head Aches" ?? Any true lead player knows what I am talkin about. right after you finish playin a part, and you have a miniature STROKE !!(Thats what we call it) Can anyone explain pleae ?!? :lolhit:
