  1. Going for a walk with the iPod and catching up on the week's field pass podcasts.
  2. It's in my profile, although I'm moving to the midwest this summer and will be teaching in N Ohio, N Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, or NW Pennsylvania if all goes as planned.
  3. We had these breaks in college to "catch our breath," and I marched next to a guy who just came back from Cadets, so we usually had to make some sort of sarcastic comment about it.
  4. Video game music is very overlooked in the marching genre, although I've seen a bit more now than I have been it seems. I've partially written a marching band show based off of the music from Metroid, and a ballad from the ghost house on Mario World. I'm listening now, and from what I hear so far, a lot o fit would translate very well.
  5. Name: Kevin Smith (I am not the director of Carolina Crown) Gender: M What age were you when you marched: 17/18, 21/22 What age are you now: 25 Which instrument did you march/play: Soprano/Trumpet Which corps is you favorite (besides your own): Phantom Regiment What is your (intended) college major/degree in: University of South Carolina. Music Education Which corps did you march with: Carolina Crown What years: 2000/2004 Why did you join drum corps: Because drum corps is cool What was your best experience: Getting to travel and wake up somewhere I've never been, day after day. Do you intend to continue to support DCI after you retire from competition: I already do. I buy tons of stuff from the website, and attend as many shows as I can each year.
  6. I've got a response there somewhere. He's also made the Break.com main page.
  7. This thread is proof that no matter what is said, someone will disagree with it in this forum.
  8. I don't care what you think about the show from a design standpoint, or the staff, or the director, etc. The KIDS work too hard to not get an applause.
  9. Ahh youtube comments. Anonymity + low age/maturity + audience = "you suck" "your gay" etc. Same thing with break.com comments.
  10. Some of you are way too sensitive regarding my post, meant as a joke. Lighten up.
  11. HA! Check the guy in the banana hammock. Better yet, don't
