  1. Loved the Saints....... Loved all the NJ corps...VFW and Legion shows at Maxwell field was a blast. Walking the boardwalk at night after the show and finding and making friends in different corps made corps special to me. It is a memory that I will always cherish. Sometimes we didnt finish as well as we though we would, but the memories, friendships with everyone cant be replaced.....
  2. How about the firemans parades?? I remember marching a parade up in haverstraw, NY and the firemen giving out ham and cheese sandwiches to us to eat after the parade. We kept them as munchies on the bus for the ride home after we had a few "birch" beers at the beer trucks.......... :)
  3. KElly's what a hangout.... I remember marching past there down i wildwood and watching bucky swan direct all the corps playing by.

  7. Ahh... a discussion about NJ drum corps............ cant be!!!!!!!! Loved the Saints... loved the soprano players....... they had some chops!! Bucky Swan took many average horn lines and turned them into great ones....
  8. A show every weekend in the tri-state area with the season starting around memorial day thru labor day with a show down in wildwood nj..... Watch the tram car please...
  9. Yup, I remember competing in Eastern States circuit also. I remember National Judges, there was another judging association that was used, but I cant remember...
  10. Weren't Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights attempting to start a junior corps based out of Newark, NJ?
  11. Many good corps came out of Garden State Circuit.... Many fun times at all the shows!
  12. I met Sean many years ago when Sean and his father came to some of our corps practices as a freind of our director Carmen Cilrincione. You could tel that he was going to be one of those great ones even then. You will be missed..RIP :(

  14. I remember the question being asked every year down in wildwood how a corps from delaware was allowed to participate in nj vfw show. I forgot that the were sponsored by a post in jersey too. I loved watching them on the field... a classy corps and a fav of mine !
