  1. actually, you basically challenged anyone that disagreed with you, and pretty much told em they were ####### clueless.
  2. and, i'm kinda broke right now. oh well, i'll order later
  3. no offense dude, but your reactions are why many people don't want to do reviews anymore. Because if someone doesn't like so and so corps, people get their ##### all bent out of shape. In fact, I know in reviews I have done you've tried to challenge my opinions many times. Me, I don't care...I'll review because I like it, and if it pisses people off, so be it. But many others are tired of having their opinion and being told they're wrong etc.
  4. look...we all know people are extremely emotionally tied to a corps they were in. and we all know at times people can not objectively look at a program they were in. the bottom line Joe is people that voted disagreed with you. Does it mean 07 Cru sucked? No it doesn't. It was 10th, just like Bush was in 2000. Hate to tell ya man, but not everyone universally loved your show. Or, maybe Bush folks got more of their own to vote for their show than 07 Cru did. it's a ####### poll on DCP. chill out dude...if anything, your vociferous defense may make people like your corps/show less.
  5. you're right. fans paying a ton of money should just shut up and take it up the ###
  6. eh, i don't need an old school concert, i just need less 200 bpm
  7. well, they are running out of tempos that anyone can play/march at. Plus too many use tempo as a crutch like a ton of notes. ok, great you can run/play fast. what else have you got? and, IMO, too many can't run and play well at those tempos, at least early
  8. i'd give you my answer, but you wouldn't like it. you can't have one without the other, but sometimes one part of the equation is stronger. I voted Cru based on performance. But, when looking at it, I had 3 shows over Cru. so in essence, performance carried the day, because book didn't.
  9. speed kills. it really does. it wasnt that long ago that you save the 180 bpm or higher tempos til the very end. now if you arent at 180, you better be in a ballad or transition
  10. you can consider it an attack, but the guidelines don't, and to be honest, from all I have read on here and discussed offline, some of both sides of your argument is accurate. however..all of the DCI corps are DCI, not just those that chose to leave. and the only corps that had a say in this were the DCI WC corps that were also DCM members. It's not like Hop and Gibbs sat Fiedler and the rest down and said "ok, this is what you HAVE to do" granted, I miss the local circuits, but this was no grand DCI conspiracy....tho snatching up DeKalb was kinda ###### the next year
  11. hey just trying to offer a clue with as much knowledge as I had. and as you can tell since that's my only clue, that's all I know
  12. for DCI...is it possible they performed as a DCA corps and got scores? Because DCI didn't have 312 corps at prelims
  13. well demand is factored in, and too often all people think about. and yes the what score is too often too close. but lets be realistic....if you arent achieving it by Late July, there should be a gap, or you should be smart and make it achievable. it's ok by finals to out perform the book, tho few do.
  14. yeah I'm with Liz on this...not in terms of who I voted for, but in terms of 10th is 10th, corps/show. yes some people can't take criticism and are emotionally attached to a product they are associated with. if only everyone in this activity could look objectively at any program they are involved with...life would be so much easier
