  1. <ding-dong> NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  2. Look at the top 4.... this is gonna be verry interesting. But I think InuYasha will finally deliver the fatal blow when finals begin. ######! I forgot my last change.... oh well, I'll be ready after QF's... ^0^ ^0^ ^0^
  3. The Potomac River Knights knew we shouldn't have attempted "Spania" in order to fire up the crowd. And yet, I basically told them to and we just blew it..... oh well, not much to say. Good show overall and we will be a top contender for DCP-I finals.
  4. Is anyone else (besides me) thinking this could be just the 2003 season all over again, in terms of finals (just switch BD with The Cadets and the upset at Indy)?
  5. Talk to Steve abut that...... I was wondering it myself..... since I put Bloomington.
  6. Yeah, yeah Shannon. You may have won the Bloomington show, but I was verrry close to your behind. Be very careful as to where you walk, for the rage of the Knights, and a little help from a wind scar/ arrow, will make you pay. Be warned, Mystre'.... YOU WILL FALL AT INUYASHA'S HAND! P.S. You ain't the only one with 144 points on the board.... ^0^
  7. Dude, Where are the Potomac River Knights? We are like right with the top 10, I think.
  8. umm.... Shenandoah is from Virginia, not West Virginia.
  9. Well Jeff, I'm in that middle groove "can tolerate but hate amplified voice". Do I think Amps are good for drum corps? No.... However, do I think that amps allow us to hear all the little nuances that a corps uses for effect (a la BD 04, when you could hear the brushes on the tom)? YES! Do I think that narration is bad? OH HECK YEAH! Do I think drumlines (a pit players) should play the notes and not just "drumspeak" them? YOU DA** RIGHT! I just think that Amps are a double edged sword. Amps are good for all the nuances and the ssofter pit sounds that you would like heard but can't unles your ear is very good. BUT, they should be kept to just that. Not amplifying Tympani, Cymbals, or anything else that can be heard just fine from the pit. That's what DCI should do, allow Amplification (on a voluntary basis) but have guidelines such as "A corps may NOT at any time use narration or vocals for your show or else there's a .2 penalty" and something along those lines. That way you still keep the "older" people liking this activity and they can enjoy ALL of the show's nuances and hidden notes, but you still appeal to the younger generation of fans. Just a suggestion from a younger person who still enjoys traditions before amplification like Bb, Asymmetrical Dill, and Guard doing dance.
  10. Since people are wondering numbers at Rockmart, here's the take from a guy who was there (look at sig. for reasoning as to why I know) Shenandoah had: 5 Sopranos 1 Mellophone 1 Baritone 1 Snare 1 Tenor 3 Bass 3 Pit and 1 guard We kept losing members due to jobs and health. The Drumline could have had 3 Snares, 2 Tenor(I was the tenor this past sat.), 4 Bass and about 4 pit. Hornline (if we didn't lose so many people to jobs and moving) could've been 6 Sops, 3 Mellophones, 3 Baritones, like 2 Contras. Plus we could've had about 5 guard. But, as I said, we kept losing people due to jobs and fallout from that. Btw, to the guy who thinks we should do "mini-corps". We've been out on the field as a competition corps for 2 years and have been around for a lot longer (they were doing mini-corps during the late 90's). We are doing our thing and frankly, it makes things a little bit more interesting in Class "A" if you think about it. Btw, to any CorpsVets who see this. Nice job on Saturday.
  11. Well, we have made all the preparations and the multi-carpool will begin tomorrow morning and arrive at Rockmart by 10:30ish on Saturday (with a stop for hotels on friday night, btw). See you all there as a new season starts for the Shenandoah Sound.
  12. You had to go there with The Engineers..... oh well.... Kosmos: Kanker Sores
  13. uuugggh.... Right behind friggin Kosmos after whipping the nips.... figures.... <**> I'll win at finals.
  14. w00t! I won at the Nipples' home show! YAY! b**bs b**bs
  15. If Buena Vista Returned, we'd all be up the creek without a paddle. And the Nipples would be running like scalded dogs.
  16. The Knights from the Nation's River will be victorious. Good luck to all for the night. Our only real competition will be Silver Crest, but we should be a top 2 corps tonight.
  17. I, respectively, request that the Potomac River Knights either Step off at the Parade at an earlier time or perform during the concert at a later time. This is coming for my corps to have a chance to recouporate from the long parade. Having my performers do this in less than a 5 hour window is like asking a corps to be in Kalamzoo, MI on one day and then in Las Vegas, NV on another day. It's just unnatural.
  18. Attention all DCP-I Eastern Directors: I am in charge of doing the articles on the Eastern Region of DCP-I Fantasy Corps. To any corps directors in this region, I would like for you to PM me so we may schedule interviews and such about your corps and yourself, if possible. Although I cannot guarantee that the entire interview will be seen in the DCP-I FDCL editions, I assure that most will be seen in the region's page. I will also attempt interviews with any corps/ directors that are not Eastern Region, but who win competitons in this region. Again, if you would like to schedule an interview for the DCP-I Eastern Page, PM me to setup a possible AIM chat.
  19. I guess I can take the East part of DCP-I. Can I get a list of corps and their directors for my region?
  20. Potomac River Knights - All the Knights hath Returned (Original Composition) The Engineers - Chain Gang Railroad Workers - Jailhouse Rock (To keep with the old time feel)
  21. I believe the Center Snare was Heidi (Don't know her last name). She's been battling tendonitis in her achilles this year and missed 2004 because of an knee injury. She is taking it easy until the shows and all-days come into full swing. Basically, she's trying to save herself for the rigors of tour so the cadets' line doesn't get into too much of a bind.
  22. We'll be able to compete, we have a better balance than just loud noise.... our balance will send your sound straight to the sideline wall.... along with your nipples.... :P ^0^
