Extremely rude comment from someone who doesn't even have a marching history in his profile! Eh...everyone knows that BAC can rock it and will have an amazing show. Afterall, BAC is not about placements.. THey are about the road to their destination... Such a shame so many ppl don't get that! Good Luck to Boston this year. I will miss everyone!

I marched Magic 03... That fourth of july we did soooo many parades we didn't even have time to go to the bathroom. So right before step off, 10 or so guard people ran to a house and asked if we could use their bathroom. The nice folks said yes... and kept on with their business... A hispanic family. The thing was that they were saying in spanish how weird it was that some strangers asked to use their bathroom. Half the people in line were from Miami. We undestood every word In 04, i marched with boston. The best parade had to be the Bristol parade. It was pouring and I was lucky enough to be on the "dance line". One of the girls gets this great idea to do one of our usual across the floors. She gets all excited and starts it off. She def. slipped on something and fell flat on the floor in the middle of the parade. One of the funniest moments ever. Between that, the rain, and everyone getting stuck under trees because the school buses were MIA... It was one of the best parades ever! This past summer I thought i got lucky because the pit (who usually serves as water boys) had to stay behind. So a few of the guard girls were given the job. 2 seconds before step off it starts raining. The parade is delayed, but goes on. The guard ended up staying behind but the water girls stayed with the corp. Not only did we get poured on and stepped in every puddle possible. But I had a horrible outfit decision (white shirt). Nothing a towel coudlnt help thank goodness. After the parade was over, the corp got lost going back to the school. And we walked probably over 2 miles, when the RV could have taken us back in 5 minutes!!!! Extremely fun parade!

Dean had said this would be his last year with boston previously. And yes... a tanning salon is in the picture.. something he has been working for for a while... All the luck to him. He was a great caption head all 4 years i marched under him. And had a great winter program as well... As for the new caption head.. I hope it makes Boston even better.. Good luck to them in the 07 season... PS... BAC was not a 12th place guard....they were amazing in my own opinion. Cant wait to see the finals performance on DVD!!!

Amen to that!!! People need to undestand that this was the best year so far for boston. But there were alot of corps that had great years too. It was a very close race between the top 12. It was a great competitive year... But as far as the crusaders go... we dont gava!

Alright.. Uniform wise... Loved: Cavies... although they must have been a pain in the butt to perform with Blue coats... very clean Boston... I'm partial to this one ofcourse..but they were better than last years...and indeed very BAC Madison.... although like cavies..they must have been a pain to perform with... they looked great on the field Not so great: Cadets... Too much of that baby blue...and the backgrounds were just.. too much BD.... to me, they were boring Phantom... SImply not my style Spirit.. the shirts they changed into werent great Crown... too much purple

Surprise surprise it would be Hopkins daughter.. I'm sorry, but i don't think that a rookie, father being the director or not, should get that solo. There are so many talented people in the cadets guard. So many vets that have put in years and years into color guard and dancing with this organization. It was wrong just to put her as the main character. This is my own personal opinion ofcourse. And I personally don't like the characters to begin with. Just "shaddy", for a lack of better wording, that the directors daughter, a rookie, would get the big solo when there are so many qualified members in that color guard!

And it never will Dano! :) Dont worry what BAC means.. If you are or have ever been in the organization.. You know what it means.. If you look foward to joining the BAC's.. you will eventually find out in history night... This corp has alot of tradition and history that is passed down to each chapter of the organization.. Sure bac stands for something... But its more of a feeling.. And being a part of Boston is the only way one will come to understand this. After all..they are giants!

They are simply not going to..... Their hornline hardly plays and when they do are extremely soft. Not only that but they have the singer over them so their sound is deminished even more. Their drum line .... I'll give props to. They have some cool tricks. But hey, BAC has beat them a few times. And their guard.... Well, whenever you watch the characters, you miss the guard doing something..and vice versa. Characters werent' the best idea. IN MY OPINION! I was very dissapointed watching their show. I'll have to agree with a fan (or maybe not too much of a fan) who screamed at the end of their show.... thats not drum corp. HAving memebers jump off benches in uniform? Thats a bit disrespectful i believe. And the guard moves the benches the entire time. Too much going on. Not enough to keep me from getting up to get a hot dog!

: I have to admit I literally cracked up when I saw this.. b**bs . I guess its always good to be safe! I always bring the little suction cup hooks..that way you can hang up your towel in the bus..andit wont smell after a week and a half... Then you also need lots of bathing suit tops... Accesories for free days.. and if you can get the little suction cup buckets..those are awesome for holding extra crap in your seat..and ofcourse.... makeup!!! :P

I miss the drum bus.. i miss falling asleep to drumming.. i miss everyone in the corp.. i miss trying to ignore the drum majors as they woke us up.... I miss my seat partner sleeping all up on me until my body was half numb.... I miss having 2 hours (sometimes 1 45...) to eat ..shower.. pack everything load it... do my hair.. do my make up and still have time to go to dunkin dounuts... I miss allentown...I miss the man song :( What I DONT miss.. -waking up at 3 am to go into a school -Warm up... i hated warm up (although the guard always made it fun) -Bus cleaning in our bus... We had very high maintanance drummers that liked it swept 24/7 -spin block - the hardest chunk for the flags.. R1 to the end... -When all the girls got all pms ee -waking up at 8am to stretch.. Fiiiiine..maybe i do miss all taht.. i miss it all!!! :(

Our move in site this year was awesome.. aside from the rain..the hills ...the bipolar weather...and the lack of places to go on the free nights.... One of the best memories was one day when the guard was working over the part that we called the corrall. Well.. there were alot of dogs in this particular school.. and we always played with them.. pet them.. You know.. us guard people are sooo dog friendly.. Well one of the dogs got too friendly and decided to mark his spot.. On my firends leg.. she got peed on... lol..then my best friend from the summer... another dog.. seconds later peed on her water jug... She had to wait for 3 days sharing water cause the dog peed on her jug.hheheh.. good times!

Whereever I've marched that has had colored poles, We've used electric tape . It makes the pole a bit heavier.... but it lasts a pretty long time. And they have every color imaginable!

Well... Dance classes would be a quick fix for the dance part.. I'm sure that if the staff sees you're trying... They'll give you a chance. They can also turn you into a dancer!!! This coming from someone who really had 2 left feet!!! Just keep trying. And never give up. If you want to march in drum corp.. Just do it.. Its an awesome experience!!
